oh, turns out once you buy the 16, the amount it increases your profits is more than 17.69. Might be a bug with the numbers display

I think it might be confusing, because you are not gettinh 17.69M/s but 17.69 per unit of time (e.g. every 17s). When the time is so small (0.25s or so I think), it changes the display to amount/s, but it doesn't say that in the "expected gain"
Not sure if that makes sense to you? But you should read it as 17.69M/0.25s, which is the roughly 70M you probably got
(note: 0.25s is just a placeholder, not sure what is the actual number, but it's definitely smaller than 0.3s)

Right, I'm aware of that, but I've got everything unlocked in the reality engine that I can unlock at this point in time, and adding the occasional extra monotreme or caniform is at a point that it costs 80-160 Udc to gain an extra 15-30 no, which is well under a 1% upgrade in total generation for something that takes hours 40-80 hours to gain enough Udc to get. It just feels like there should be an intermediate step that I'm missing to make this jump, as every other progression to this point has been one that takes no more than a couple of days, and now I'm looking at multiple weeks.

To collect 1 metabite you have to collect specific amount of total of entropy and idea(wich increase as you collect more mb)
And if you reboot before you collect that ammount and it shows 1 mb
Its still ok because the amount of entropy and idea you collected is carried forward.
But you dont get multiplier because your metabite didn't increased
