Well, the problem is, I don't change devices. I actually export the main save to another place in my computer, and add a new save that the game generated like a week ago. (The new save is used mainly for YouTube purposes, and I don't want to lose any of them, because either the series is gone, or 300 hours of C2S gameplay is gone. I am actually doing a pretty risky action.
I just left the game for a bit for it to autosave, and it looks like it worked.

Every time you increase your level in mesozoic valley, it increases your speed in the main simulation.
Once you reach max rank in mesozoic valley, you can prestige it to gain a permanent upgrade there and level it up again to gain further boosts to your main simulation
For example im prestige 1 rank 37 in mesozoic valley at the moment, and it gives me a 9.7 times simulation speed bonus

It will be very difficult to achive 200 of every dino. I think it's a good idea to save up mutagen over the prestiges and then use it for blue traits of the highest dinos in the final run.

So my math may be wrong here, but if level 14 upgrades in mesozoic valley cost 400k mutagen, then the level 20 upgrades should cost about 25.6 Million mutagen

Because by the time you reach that point you are max level in mesozoic valley and you can't do any quests to get free geodes, and even if you could you would need nearly all the possible geodes you could unlock just to buy the level 20 upgrade not to mention the levels before it

but yes you probably need to start saving up mutagen very early on in MV
since i've never gone above level 12 on any card idk how much they cost at level 20 but i'd imagine it's more like 10 or 20 million

In Mesozoic valley you rank up each time you complete those challenges and can trigger the asteroid. This wipes the dinos but you keep everything else and your main simulation speed increases by 10%. If you finish rank 50 you prestige. This causes you to lose everything except epic and rare card sets, and mutagen. Your primary simulation speed increases by a much greater amount (I can't remember off the top of my head what) and I think the Mesozoic valley speed also increases
You can prestige 10 times for a grand total of 550 ranks to work through
