The Amplifier is an RE upgrade (pictured), which boosts your Time Chambers. It used to be x10; now it's x5. It's also more complicated than a flat x5 boost, but that was the case before, too.

Resetting more frequently is usually better for overall progression. However, Research Level XP is based on income, so if you want to push levels you should do a longer run.

I think for most of the game, reset as soon as you can buy enough useful stuff is the best strategy. It only gets tricky in the endgame where resetting gets you more advanced currency and not resetting gets you more xp.

Unless it changed this patch, the XP requirements drastically increase from level 70 on and then get worse from 80+
The new nodes (Mollusks, IR2, Crustaceans) are supposed to offset this, so if you're slowing down you may be approaching a wall before the next boost (IR2 stuff)
Also remember XP is based on both Entropy and Ideas, so max em both out and wait

Mostly cheating / hacking. There is no winning there unless you are the top dog hacker.
Div 666 is infamous because the game puts detected cheaters there. If you don't know why you are in there you should check if you got your game from official sources and if the device time and date is right.
Best is to load an old savegame from before the issue and see if you get removed from 666 in the next explorations. Of course you can contact support at [e-mail] to have it checked. Be sure to mention your player ID and name and game e-mail address if you have a crossplatform save account. Do not mention passwords.

I just read the recent announcement of the changes to metabits and knowledge. It sure feels like goodspeak: time chambers have a stronger impact and time chambers 1 get their multiplier changed from x10 to x5.

It's not a lie as such, as stronger inpact overall does not mean more production. It still feels dishonest to me to announce what is basically another nerf like this.

And no, I don't mind that the empty sim strat won't work anymore. I do mind that in order to sidegrade the nanobots, they were nerfed and that in order to make that work, another nerf is necessary.

• For most players (those who weren't doing empty sim) it's a buff.
• For some players who were doing empty sim it's the same (possibly to do with Human Spark / Amplifiers).
• For late game players doing empty sim it looks like there's a bit of a choice to make about taking a hit on knowledge or metabits (knowledge takes a hit once updated - bear in mind Bison Amplifier remains unaffordable).
• For late game players with the new nodes production has significantly increased on the Metabit side.

So it's supposed to vaguely show how much time you've spent Vs how much time to get to the next level. But in reality it's not that smooth, and breaks at late/end game

I initially thought it would follow an exponential increasing trend because it's Semblance's quantum computer-based artificial intelligence operates simulations, but if the goal is definitely understanding and convenience rather than historical research, that would be fine too

But what we need to consider is that the increase in production is not a plus, but an additional multiplication through multiple nodes and upgrades of the real engine

In other words, it becomes more difficult for players to guess their progress

Starting early will give people more time to earn science.

Being offline and going back in and using the ad gets me x4 income.

Ignore the objectives until they're easy. Focus on improving your production.

Buying the right thing (usually upgrades, sometimes generators) can speed things up a lot.
