I didn't end up having enough to finish out Knowledge Booster V (it would take another empty sim run, but I'm not going to bother). What do you guys spending your darwinium for? I returned to the game 2-3 months ago, bought premanent upgrades and was buying little 3-4$ hour-packs. Now I completed space realm, only coming to refresh my stars to finish constelations (25/38 right now), 27/6 in dino realm, only reason I'm not already 50/10 cause it's boring and I was doing 100% achiev. at 50/4. My main realm is at 77 lvl, 3 days into empty sim run, bought all darw. augments (except ford 'cause it requires 78), all modules and maxed upgrades.

I'm still buying 1-hour packs for logits for logit augments, and occasionally dino/space packs. My my only way to spend darwinium is like buying black holes for 3 stars, or buy diamond rocks because I can. Or, what looks the most reasonable way to go around - just buy 3-hour skips to speed up an empty sim.

And yeah, I would buy more little packs in the future, so would collect some spare darwinium, since at the moment I already bought all permanent upgrades in main sim.

And yeah, events for me it's only 25-50 group, rarely 10-25, so no stars and geodes for me, I played the game before events and during last 2 months I played them for the first time (so at no badges).

You can get a preview of sorts by keeping an eye on the #🧾-beta-patch-notes .. usually you can tell when an update is incoming to Live very soon, and have a window on what's coming a few weeks or later, away

True. Once you have bought all the (non-cosmetic) things, you accumulate more DW than you are required to spend when a new update arrives. Assuming you get the daily free 10 DW + the others you get from Beyond research

On a related note, this event is pretty janky once you reach AI Tools

The unlock requirements aren't too bad, but the path optimization is not so straightforward

Timing AI purchases to match the timer, and the dual-aspected upgrades which affect said timer are bad enough

But there's also the large cost scaling on AI and Mechanical Brain

And the pairing of Analytic with Generative and Tools with Evils means collating multiple upgrades to avoid significant overpurchasing

The pathing is something like:
Extra boostrapping (2 generators and 2 upgrades)
Standard pathing to Black Box
Rush Training Sets
Resume standard pathing to Natural Language
AI timer is now low enough to start buying AI (if appropriately cheap) as close to the end of the timer as possible
Continue standard pathing to AI Evolved
Grab 1 AI Tools to unlock Evils and Perils; buy some, then
Rush Customer Service
Resume normal pathing
Remember, every time you get close to the AI timer check if you should buy more AI!
Also remember that every upgrade which changes AI speed changes the timer!
