Empty Sim is when you reboot your universe, then don't buy anything until your Metabit/Knowledge Time Chamber nodes have grown enough.

This is effective because the multiplier they give to your Metabit/Knowledge income is calculated at the point every fill happens.

It's most effective when you have both Time Chambers for Metabits/Knowledge and the amplifier (~x10k earnings if you do 14 day runs). People often do 7 days runs before buying anything, the most it's worth doing is 14 days.

You might think this is weird. It is. We want the Devs to fix it. But in the interim ... It works

It basically looks like this.

You can buy a few nodes, just not any generators. And don't set off nanobots or anything.

Make sure you don't buy the new 'autostart nanobot' node in the recent update too.

You'll get your daily rewards - they just don't appear at the left hand side of your screen.

Red Dwarf normal traits are heavily weighted to the later Stage 1 generators.. You might be better thinking about how best to get golds / silvers.

Just play through the game. Things will unlock as you get to them. The IR2 stuff unlocks around the end of the previous stuff - which included future civilisation things.
