Only the conversions that have yet to occur are affected by Metabit/Knowledge bonuses. And, because conversion requirements scale after each conversion, buying a generator that leads to too many conversions prior to maxing out all Metabit/Knowledge bonuses will result in fewer conversions at optimal output.

I'm surprised something like a base_Metabits*multipliers=total_Metabits window wouldn't have worked. Base Metabits would reflect what the converters would award without any multipliers whatsoever, while the multipliers continually improve over time and adjust total projected Metabits to be earned when resetting the simulation.

So. You copy paste the installation folder of cells (somewhere in steamapps/common) to a backup folder.
Then u let steam update cells. After that is done, you copy paste the content of the backup folder back to the original steam folder.

As long as you dont do an integrity check or another update hits, steam thinks you are on the current version, but in reality you are on the old one.
Simple, easy, no shenenigans needed to somehow get rid of the forced update button

Thats already impressive. Starting so early as new player always led me to top 25-50.
In my experience starting between 1 and 2 days after event start is way easier. But dont start too late. If its already the last day of the event it gets harder again, because lots of people with ton of badges start there, because they want to save time and still get good place.

Yeah, if you're building time with an empty sim now, better to wait with the update until you have past your 21 days and collected all earnings. Then maybe update. (Update if you prefer XP. Not update if you prefer meta currency)
