i mostly start between 1 day and 12 hours and 1 day with the event because that gets you into devisions with allot of noobs who hardly play the exploration events or have no badges

I think people need to experiment to find which time works best for them. What works best for each person depends on how actively they play, and probably which timezone they are in. I start ~2 days before, expect to prestige partway through the first day and be top 10 by the end. I found starting later worked worse for me -- there was a larger chance that I wouldn't make top 10, or would get sniped out of it. I can usually be top 5 by the end, which is good enough that I haven't fallen out of top 10 in a long time. It's unclear if it's worth it, but I do have 33 neutron stars and 150 black holes saved up for whatever crazy prestige system the devs give us for Beyond.

If it feels off it's bc there's a bug where primary sim will double your in-game time there if you go to another sim and then come back to it. If you're in Meso for an hour and then go back to primary, it thinks it was two hours. Same thing happened to me on a 5day empty sim I did - ended up accidentally ahead of schedule and did 6.5 days instead

If you are on Steam and not in the game already, Cells will force the update. Otherwise, on iOS/iPadOS or Android, you can choose to update or not. I will add that the beta patch notes do leave it vague on what's changing, so it's not impossible they'd add nodes. We'll know when it drops, I guess.

But yeah, if there are no actual improvements, you might as well stay on the current version until an update with actual content.. like the Beyond 30 that's presumably coming after this imminent one

So what happens when it's someone whose Discord account is stolen? If it's an IP block, there's no way really for that user to contact. Plus, IP blocks are.. well, it's complicated, an IP address does NOT exclusively point to a user. My point being, you are not a Cells dev, there's complexities you aren't aware of.

(and even I, who is not a dev but is technically pretty literate, can see some of those complexities.. they can see more than I can, I'm sure)

As far as a anti-spam bot, with "AI" it makes the job way harder. You can disable all images here as one way.. but ofc there's a lot of useful/legit images that people post here too. So.. complexities!

But say you block all VPNs. A user won't usually be able to change IPs without a VPN, but scammers have more options, they can spin up an instance in the cloud, etc.

My point is that it's way easier for a scammer to evade IP blocks than it is for a regular user

What are sharks, and/or how do I get them?

• The Daily Mutation panel (aka daily rewards) runs on a 7-day cycle. (The cycle does not reset if you miss a day.) On the final day of the 2nd time of a cycle (after 13 days), you will unlock a shark. There are in total 6 sharks to collect, so you have to log in 14 * 6 = 84 days to get them all. Once you do, you get the “Shark Week” secret achievement.
