Transfer your file to android/iOS and get/use the ad boosts. At least the X4 long term one.

Open the event as often as you can (maybe every 30 mins for you?) and generally prioritise upgrades.

What Kf said. Optimal for events is about every 5 minutes (and do the ad boost every time, though that’s obviously problematic on Steam unless you have Infinity Pass)

[1] The easiest way to do that with empty sim runs imo is to upload a save file using the cross-platform save feature; then do an upgrade. If you don't like the result, download your save and wait a bit longer.

No. When you earn at least 1000 Ttg (whatever that’s called), it’ll stop using Googols, and revert to the Normal notation. It does this for Custom notation as well (I forget if it does it in Scientific notation also), and it’s… well, it’s a theme/story thing, we just have to put up with it.

If you are able to play on PC, you can use an autoclicker, that makes it very fast and easy.

(and you can move saves back and forth between mobile and PC, so you can get the 4x ad bonus, without having to pay for Infinity Pass)

You had to end the sim to purchase, I’m almost certain of it. If it somehow lets you anyway, then it almost certainly doesn’t apply until the next sim run.

Yeah you can buy reality engine upgrades during a sim if you have enough currency, but that makes a lot less sense than making those same upgrades between sims, because the upgrade would only apply to part of the sim instead of all of it

You can't get any more metabits or knowledge to spend during a sim, only after it

Actually, I hope I’m wrong. It makes holding an empty sim run after an update much more lucrative, potentially incredibly so if there’s a new time node and you have enough saved up.

I believe you are incorrect. I was partway through a 21 day no-buy run when Mollusks hit Android. I bought the second metabit time crystal, waited the day more to max it and then bought generators and collected stuff. Given I got somewhat more metabits than knowledge on that run, I believe it applied.
I did have enough saved up so I could buy it.

I'm going to continue to only buy RE upgrades right before buying generators to maximize the chance of free bonuses in the future.

It's more like 21d3h, but yes. You will need to look at all your Time Crystals to be certain they're capped.
