Mostly that means Metabits+Knowledge stored up for the next drop, which might be enough for some nodes that you couldn’t otherwise have afforded/had to spam reboot, to get!

Second big question is how many of the chambers do you have. You definitely want to reboot once the idea (and entropy post the update) chambers are maxed.
I suspect you also want to reboot any time you can purchase >100x in entropy or ideas, and >5x in metabits or knowledge.
If you're willing to reboot a lot, you get most of the benefit for the first few days in the first 5-15 minutes. Then you get a lot after several (4+ days)

Ive been playing really slow about one week between reboots to squeeze every metabit/knowledge before reboot, when all the generators are prohibitively expensive

You will advance faster if you reboot more frequently at this point.

When I start a new run sometimes I start it before I sleep and dont buy anything so the time chamber levels up. Not sure if thats a good strategy. Usually get at least 2x on everything before I buy all the generators

with the time crystals tho it is good

you have the first time crystal so keep doing that if you want, altho i dont think a day gives much boost?
