hmm.. idk, the reality revamp did change things up, all your past progress in Reality Engine + Primary would have been reset but it would have given you a bunch of levels based on your past progress, and probably populated a whole bunch of nodes in Reality Engine for you, with some leftover. Is that what you see? (and your progress in Meso, Beyond, Events/Badges would be untouched)

(and anything you bought with Darwinium or Logits will be untouched too)

Sounds like maybe a google thing then? Idk.. I always use the game's built-in crossplatform save (you give it/create a username and password for it) and never have any problems going back and forth between devices.. but I do know others have mentioned issues with Google Play before

i feel like ultimately, it all kinda balances out. if you focus on research level, when unlocks become available, they all auto unlock for you, which in turn will increase everything required to increase RE nodes with less frustration. if you focus on RE nodes and ultimately increase (dramatically) your earnings, then being able to afford those new research level upgrades will be easier to do as they become available based on your RL

Both feed into each other well, but for me, I know sometimes I have to leave the game to sit, so bursting reboots will help me clear the engine upgrades faster, which means my waiting times are more efficient, which gives me more levels, which makes e and I more powerful, which.....

oh ok, that's a huge jump as well! .. did you already go into the BIOS and update it, and set it to the Intel defaults as far as overclocking goes? motherboard manufacturers have a habit of having problematic settings out of the box, and making sure you don't overclock the CPU is really important with Intel 13th and 14th gen CPUs..

My point being, the reason you may want to go into the BIOS etc is to make sure it has reasonable settings and to make sure your CPU won't degrade.. that's been an issue with Intel 13th and 14th gen, but it should be fixed with recent BIOS and Intel Default power/overclock settings.

But at 50 they are good. Even if you lose your normal cards and only keep the rare and epic ones.

The amount of rares and epics you get is more than worth the loss of the normal cards.

The more you save, the faster you'll be able to get it., once you get to the end of Meso. I've seen people say ||~2.5-3.5 million||, but it really is just a trade off: more mutagen = shorter time.

It's a trade-off. You need to spend mutagen to level up your dinosaur earnings while leveling.

So do not save all your mutagen. Spend it but with balance.

I think overall they're more useful. They did have much bigger numbers before, but they only affected one generator. And even with that huge multiplier the generator was not producing anything substantial.

Now the numbers are (much) smaller but they affect simulation speed, which means they're effective on everything. And remain effective.

I think the order of 'effectiveness ' of boosts is Sim Speed > Metabits/knowledge > entropy/ideas. Broadly speaking.

There is one effect of the Compliers/Capacitors (that I don't like 😁) but which interlinks slightly with the augments affecting Sim Speed globally rather than individual generators.

In the Before Times all you did was buy your most effective generator. The Giant Squid was so OP that you could get away with just buying jellyfish (until after quite some time the cost inflation meant that occasionally e.g. Feliforms and Glires were the most effective).

Now - because of the Compiler/Capacitor nodes - you're often better off maxing buying generators to feed them, even if their entropy/idea production is nowhere near your best generator. So augments that boosted individual generators might appear to make a generator more effective, but just aren't.

So that's what I thought, but I'm not sure any more. At Reboot 100, I started saving for quark expansion, Last recorded one was 130. I've been buying mostly the speed boosts and occasionally the metabit stuff, and metabit multiplier has gone from 74202 -> 91968 (1.24x), knowledge 21409-21711 (probably badges), and speed 5.91E6 -> 7.61E6 (1.29x); so despite biasing toward speed improvements, I've ended up with a pretty substantial metabit improvement.
