From what I hear, it’s better to join later in an event, like “Last day” or “Last few hours” late.
It means you’ll be competing against stragglers-and not many of them.

Of course, that also means that you’ll have much less time.
So try this strategy after you’ve gained a ton of badges and/or play on mobile. Some Darwinium might not hurt either.

Once you reach Extinction 50 for the first time, you can “Prestige”. It’ll reset all your Meso progress, but you’ll keep all your silver and gold trait cards, and gain a new gold one.

When you reach Prestige 1, you’ll need to go through all 50 extinctions again, then you’ll reset again, again keeping your silver and gold cards, and the extra gold one will increase in power.
Rinse and repeat until you reach the maximum level: Prestige 10, Extinction 50. That’s 500 extinctions total (550 if you count the first 50 which aren’t prestige).

I didn't even understand the reboots of the simulators so I was stubbornly trying to level dinos to get badges in like meso 2 for a while. finally I'm like "screw this, I'm rebooting" and now I see how it speeds up and now I work each one more efficiently. I'm guessing the discussion about logits comes up often but here is my logic on logits...they are behind a paywall or alternatively an excruciating slow grind. Because you can only get them from events, and only by placing high in events. So players are going to tend to use time warps, multiples of them, to get to the top ten. Time warps can be bought with real life money. So why not just sell the logits? It doesn't make much sense to me. I only placed 28th last event. Even if I place top ten, I'll still only have 85 and I need 100 to unlock the giant squid. So that means another event after that. I'm looking at a week even though I'm playing daily and throughout the day.

Another thing I notice which is weird, I'm playing A LOT. I'd suspect more hours per day than most. So why do I keep falling down lower and lower on the leader board? There's really that many people playing more hours than me? I'm so confused 😂

Logits comes up rarely from what I've seen. You get a bunch from every Event (along with the 3 badges) no matter how you do in those events, and those add up, especially since you don't need to spend them on anything but some of the artifacts in Primary. You also don't need to spend darwinium/use time warps to get to the top ten, as long as you've done an existing event a few times AND don't start the first day AND play reasonably frequently AND (are playing on mobile/tablet for the 4x ad boost OR are playing on Steam and have Infinity Pass). Once you have a per event bonus of 100%+ or so better, it's very easy to get Top 10, if you follow what I've said. If you are new or haven't done an event a few times, then don't worry about Top 10.. there's nothing there that you actually need, it's convenience, only.

As to the leaderboard, if you mean the global one, it's.. messed up. It's also pointless and doesn't really make sense if you look at it closer. Perhaps ignore it? I do.

You might choose to only get constellations that directly improve the current Beyond you're doing.. and then, only IF that Beyond is going really slowly for you. That's been my approach, and so I only had like maybe 1/4 of them until very late and I had so many constellation stars saved up (from research in Beyond) that I could buy the rest and have lots left over. Up to you though, maybe buying them as soon as you can is a better approach? idk, not like I've done A/B testing or smth!

yes they do! The 3 badges you get for an event give a 30% bonus next time you do them, and +1% each (total 3%) for Primary and I think everything else that isn't an event. All that is cumulative when you repeat events! After 200% bonus it's not a 1:1 benefit anymore, it slowly curves to where (I think) it tops out at about 400% real at infinity badges

Check your stats in the Reality Engine - specifically the multipliers.

It's most likely progressing Meso that will have the most effect (There are ||550 levels||). Progressing Beyond and getting event badges will help. Also reboot your primary sim if your production will go up significantly.

And ofc you have the chance of Darwinium by doing red missions.

What we'd be using those to do, idk. I get that the Devs wouldn't want to spend a huge amount of time developing new stuff for prestiges: they'd rather keep any cool ideas for space-stuff-beyond-Beyond. So drawing a bit of a blank.

Maybe Semblance 'mis-places' your gold and silver trait cards and each prestige is a focussed 'replay' of the things that those cards affect (so currently 9 in total - the 6 silvers, then the 3 golds). But you use the constellations and space-logit stuff to speed you through that section and help Semblance 'find' your trait cards again?

I think all of us that did it, kinda hate that part.

(but the bonus it gives makes it worth it, IF you like the rest of the game ofc)

It's largely a single player game, so you set your own pace. And the purchases are weirdly expensive for the benefit imo.

It's only events where you directly compete with others ... And that's only if you engage with the ranks: if you just want badges, it's still single player.
