For those of you who have completed Mesozoic Valley, at what point do you stop leveling up rare traits? I'm having a hard time justifying 20k mutagen to bump herbivore payouts from x6 to x6.5. Carnivore would be an easier sell, but at some point that's not worth it either. On the other hand, my plan for the final achievement run is to get Giganotosaurus to level 16 speed and payout at a cost of roughly 1.6M each, so anything in excess of 3.2M can be wasted (unless I somehow get to 4.8M in which case I can get level 17).

I'd say learn from my pain and build up Giga as much as possible once you can get there without much trouble. I have 240 Udc left to get the last achievement and only 357No/s with x4 overdrive...I wasted way too much mutagen on trying to get it done quickly

If I'm mathing correctly, 357No/s ~= 1D/3sec ~= 1Udc/hour, so 10 days of 4x for the Giga achievement? An extra 2x would cut that down to 5 days. I'll go for that.

It's mostly a single person game. Cheating doesn't matter except for events, and then only barely. Autoclickers make the game more fun for some people but others consider it cheating. Of course, nothing beats photoshop for cheating.

I have hit the endgame and am now one of the cool kids, or rather will be once I figure out what to grind. Hitting rank 7 Van Maanen's Star will take 200 days, or maybe 50 if I burn all my darwinium, buy some more, and burn that too. But in 50 days, Episode 20 will be out so that's not a great option. I've got all the 'saurs to 200. I could go for 250, but that's not feasible without an autoclicker so I'll hold off on that for a while. I'm at E17; the last purchase in Primary is far enough away that it makes 200 days seem short.
So, my current plan:
Primary - hit the speed asteroids for 15 seconds of 10-finger-deathpunch, not for advancement, but because it's fun. I have 1 shark so I will work on those too.
Meso - Check in every once in a while for geodes maybe 3 times a day and traits maybe 10 times a day. I have 3M mutagen so 10k more a day is just a drop in the bucket, but it still feels like I'm doing something. Plus I occasionally get rare and epic cards which won't change anything, but it feels like winning.
Beyond - I am farming Constellation fragments for the achievement. I also do a 12 or 24 hour dark matter mission.
I will also do all the events. Seems like a good place to burn darwinium but I haven't tried yet.
Is there anything I'm missing? What do the long time players here do?

And the primary sim shouldn't take too long. Remember to restart sim to get a speed boost. I get a 1-2% boost every day or 2.

Getting the rest of the sharks will probably take the longest

Oh, and doing explorations. Get to do them over and over, which is nice. And it gets faster each time.
