assuming you've already purchased capybara and its followup, the biggest block to going down the squid path is sim speed

reset the sim whenever you either have a) twice as much sim speed as your current speed
OR
b) Whenever you can buy anything on the RE tree's left and bottom left branches.

eventually your sim speed will be high enough that it'll only take a couple minutes to buy the squid

don't ignore beyond, the valley, or explorations either. they all contribute to sim speed.

It’s possible to change things up without adding illogical and inconsistent features. Just look at the Extinction Event or Bee Event. Those are easily my favourite events as they do mix it up in fun and interesting ways WITHOUT compromising logic.

I will say I absolutely love the content of the Tea Event and am learning from it, however the absolutely trash execution really makes it suffer. Is it the worst event? No definitely not. Is it a good one? No but it’s tolerable.
