Definitely do that last task, you can skip it in like 48-50 ranks since they're pain but on all else, do them, that's still a few additional mutagen that will be really helpful on prestige 10 while grinding for giganto gold achievement

You start the event again from the beginning. Having completed it previously and collected the badges for it already, you get a boost from those badges, and the boost stacks. So each time you complete an event, the boost multiplies.
