Completely understandable that garden takes a LOT of work but in my opinion removing it from the future, unreleased events, defeats the purpose of the event in a way. We've all seen events created long time ago recur and sometimes, in my case at least, i am eager for the event to start to experience again same content so in case of events without plenty of content, again in my case, i will not be rather thrilled if that event was upcoming. Every single time i have enjoyed The Big Questions and Price of Trust when they occur. Now to link to initial thought, making it faster will certainly reduce quality of the content and i am hoping that you will reconsider future events since game might become not as fun and beautiful as it used to be.

That will be lost but most are not hard to find as the events will cycle I think. Through all of them. But any restricted achievements like the dodo one will only appear in certain times. Other than that, it’s just a waiting game.
