For anyone interested I'm pretty sure I've nailed down the optimal way to grind metabits. Basically you just buy everything in the entropy tree before "first idea", and then you activate your nanobots every time a comet appears

That way your nanobots are only tapping entropy, and you're getting close to the maximum tap value
