#3D printing

I don't clean mine but it doesn't affect the issue I got
Clogs are literaly caused by factors like not cleaning ๐
One of MANY
Most of the time it's not the primary reason for clogs
๐ yeah but its one of the main ones i clean my machine once a month had it since release and never ever had a single clog
Whats your largest print?
Tbh I've got a print block atm need some inspiration
Just because you do something and don't have an issue, doesn't mean it's associated with the issue
Mine is an issue with the filament swapping function and how it interacts with the bore surface of the coldend
It's not a smooth surface, so there can be friction issues in the coldend that prevent the new filament from being able to be pushed thru the nozzle assembly
What machine you got?
Wait i thought they cancelled the multi color fillament
As far as i knew it wasn't available yet
Kinda not really
Heard the lights on batch 2 are way better mine suck
Can't see shit ๐
My b didn't realise you were using multi color
It's not great but it's better
I'm not
Just changing out filament
Which I do a lot
As I use a large variety
My biggest ick with the centauris is i can't remove the bowden tube to change fillament very annoying had a peice of fillament snap inside and was a nightmare getting it out
Just gotta push the little lip at the base of it fown
ok it is me thank thats the problem fk ๐ cheers
... I opened a wine bottle in the same room as my resin printer and its VOC monitor
oop
Been thinking about getting a resin printer for visors and jems for prints any recommendations
dang it, finally got time to construct the enclosure to finally test the printer, now i notice they sent me parts that don't fit ;_;
printer return period is almost over and I haven't gotten to test it once yet bc something always comes up
Wouldn't it be easier to glue acrylic sheets together and sit it ontop of the machine?
Unless it's really big that is
Is it a bed slinger?
buying sheets that large would be really unwieldy, probably more expensive, have no opening for easy access without additional work, and wouldn't come with extra lights, extraction fans/-tube, etc.
got the saturn ultra 4 16k plus cleaning/curing station under a slanted roof, so the enclosures are by far my best bet for the price
I mean, there's always the option this guy did ๐
I wouldn't call it EASY...
Wouldnโt call it too hard just expensive
Was gonna say that's some SERIOUS ventilation setup, but then I saw the box of Photopolymer resin and realised those are resin printers. Makes a lot more sense now
You can get the same thing done with plywood, silicone caulking, weather stripping for sealing the door, some cheap dimensional lumber and wood screws
For like
1/10th the cost
Oh and some ducting with a fan
The only important thing is that it's negative pressure
Doesn't have to be airtight
If it's just slightly negative, there will be 0 leaking
dude i was having trouble getting it to print good
and i crank my temps all the way to 280
280 bro
now it prints
why does it print at 280
petg doesn't print at 280
i mean it do
but it dont need to
do it?
Scientists at McGill University have turned the mosquito's proboscis into a biological 3D printing nozzle capable of ultrafine resolution prints down to 18-28 micrometers. This innovative approach reduces costs dramatically, with each natural nozzle costing around $0.80 compared to $80 for conventional engineered tips.

So mosquitos are useful when dead? ๐ค
precisely!
Not sure how I missed that but DMS has done the thing he said he would do and open-sourced the design of his headphone https://youtu.be/d9SyIJi44J4

Yo asking for some advice on something I've never done before am currently printing the peices for noble six armor from halo reach should I wait and test fit everything first or should I start to prime the parts? Cheers have never done armor before mostly prop guns and helmets
Bad batch mabye?
Was the model premade for 3D printing or did you make the model yourself?
Its from galactic armory so it's premade file
Noble six spartan armor
Halo
In that case as long as you have the correct print settings you should be fine without needing to test fit. Although It's still good practice to do make test prints anyway since that's a lot of fillament
Ok cheers ill hold of priming for now
Time to say goodbye to my a1 mini
Did you eat the linear rails again
Can anyone tell me if certain geometry of a 3D print can cause multiple jams over and over
Spent 3 hrs trying to print a peice flat surfaced but width wise it's a triangle still simple enough
After the first layer printer jams every....single....time
Started a new print simple and works
Slamming my head against the wall
Hilarious
It lives on forever
@whole wind you have the opportunity to do the funniest thing https://github.com/AlieksieievYurii/vacuum-cleaner
:3
Got a new setup for my printer
The room it was in now has one of my besties living in there, so its finally out here in the hall
Got this little table for it but stuff didn't really fit well on it
Chopped off all the stuff from the top
And modified the dryer a bit, and added a little new flair to the printer
Now it's perfect:3
Currently making an hrt box for aforementioned bestie
It will say transmission fluid on it

That the cc1 with mods?
Ya
I'm still pissed about the cc2 having mmu but not the cc1
Cool what mods did you do? I've been meaning to mod mine
I can send a list
Yeah please ๐ ๐
Gimme a bit
Cheers
the wedges for the top and door are great if you want it queter
cuz
you dont need to run the case fans
with pla
if you got them open
I always leave my stuff closed even with pla never had issues also its in a room far enough away
Didn't even know you could do that
Yooooooo, this is so cool ๐
Use BumpMesh totally free: https://BumpMesh.com
BumpMesh is a free, open-source, browser-based tool for applying custom displacement textures to your 3D models โ no account, no software install, and no expensive licenses required. Simply load your STL, OBJ, or 3MF file, choose or upload a texture, adjust projection, depth, and masking to your ...
no need to use fusion
Oh that works too
Much faster, that fusion function will take hours sometimes to compute if you don't have a higher end licence
Sounds about right
yall ever spend way too much time designing your reference surfaces? like i only needed an "H" shape and the two little bits that poke up
but i went and did all this shit
idk why
To anyone who cares
The centauri carbon mmu is releasing around April 30th
And it is a full head swap, and I don't think you will be able to have top panel on while using it
I'm sure someone will mod it though
Just another ecc riser
Official?
Ye
How do you know?
If you ask elegoo via email they will tell you
It should be last week of april
Yey
Ahhhhhhh I want it sooo bad
I placed a reservation for the early bird price, I REALLY hope it doesn't turn into a scam
Saw it on their website, Iโm surprised of the cost. I want it but cant get it right now since Iโll be moving to a different house and its a pre order
Oh no, we were talking about the centauri carbon mmu
Its probably a good design
Loved the price
ah gotcha
