So, closing thoughts on just the MSQ and what it entails ||, it's easily the weakest storytelling FF14 has ever had, I'd rather replay ARR than go through this "love & peace bridges all strife" repetitive, formulaic slog again, really. The new characters are neither particularly likeable nor interesting and I absolutely did not care about what happened to any of them. ARR was insufferable on a technical standpoint, but its story made you get through it. HW was magnificent, SB was flawed but the core story beats were great, ShB is unmatched and EW was almost as good as that with some of the most epic moments imaginable of which DT had... well, none. Not a single moment where I would say "Yeah, this was actually great" in either storytelling or even just an awesome setpiece. It's sort of a bummer tbh and I hope whatever patch content they'll have can make up for at least some of this, but yeah.
And that's just the story, I have more gripes with other elements of the new content.

aglaia is around 9 mill per run with armory bonus + fc buff + earrings
it takes 20 min
that's better rate than the 91/93/95 dungeons
and only slightly worse than 97/99 (which have longer queues for dps so it is a wash)
but if you supplement queue times with FATEs then it works itself out

Thoughts on the story
I actually paid attention this time through and it was fun!
it definitely dipped in the middle around the level 20-40 quests, it felt super tedious
but overall it was great

especically the fetch quest chain to convince the company of heroes to help you with titan
where you do a bunch of random shit and it was just a ruse to get you to set up a feast for everyone
