Foch 155 us not that enjoyable anymore. 500 average and if you have bad luck 380-390dmg lowrolls and a reload of 17 sec. It's better of the way it is now. Single shot gun is like grille but with somehow longer reload. I'm ok with changes on japanese heavies. But Foch 155 and t9 Foch not at all

Running Dell G3, windows and high graphics ; game loads and runs ok no issues. No bugs diffrent than that allready mentioned. Gun sounds seem good to me. like the new map graphics, wish new lights had more than 5% dep. shooting bots would be better than parked cars! LOL

Hey hey, I have a problem starting the test client. I installed the zip file on the website, opened it and clicked on wotblitz.exe, then extracted, clicked on the extracted folder and then started wotblitz.exe. I've started the application several times now and nothing has happened.
I've already tried downloading and opening the file again, but that didn't help.
DAVAProject has already been deleted.

@lusty ether I didn't get this warning on this RC, but I wouldn't worry about the warning. This is common when testing beta software .
@quick shale where did you put the folder? Perhaps it is in an area you are not allowed to access and the OS is preventing execution or your AV software may be interfering. Educated guesses on my part. I'm testing on Windoze and I put the unzipped folder right on my desktop since it will have a short service life. It ran fine for me there.

Foch 155 has well a 155 mm gun and will deal 500 dmg. Minotauro has a 130 mm gun and deals 490 dmg, come on WG, leave Foch alone

MATH ERROR
I reported this in 9.6, but the error still exists in the 9.7 open test release candidate.
● Ferdinand costs 77.5k to research without discount - this matches other tier 8s (1st pic)
● Ferdinand costs 58.1k to research with 25% discount - this math is correct (2nd pic)
● Ferdinand costs 112.5k to research with 25% discount or (150k without) when you hit the Research Button - this math is wrong (3rd pic)
I researched it through the Tiger (P) which has 74.5k XP, but it calculates correctly if I research it through the JPanther which has 61.1k XP.

If you expand the window for that tank, and perhaps even the Ferdinand itself, you will be able to see this, along with the "incorrect" value of 112.5 that you're referencing

To say the least, this layout is quite confusing, and I've made the mistake of wrongly thinking that you can combine the accumulated XP from two different tanks to research another one, if they both lead to it

Well I think that the Chinese tanks are very well balanced + I find the idea that wg focuses more on graphics and not like an average player with a mid-range phone a bit annoying you can feel that drop in fps more how that will affect your performance.

I guess a lot of people will camp with chinese LT's bc of adaptive concealment. I mean yeah, people camp with anything but that will be especially annoying. And regarding HD maps, some players will have a hard time playing on phone. Castilla was bad before getting PBR because of campers. Now is laggy and a camper paradise. Middleburg is fine but i guess it will be laggy on some devices with with lower graphics quality

So it costs B but says A instead on the base, fresh tech tree when not even a single German tank is researched. It makes me wonder if it costs 77.1k like it says or 150k like it is charging me if I had neither tank researched and was using free xp only. If it charges 150k xp but says 77.1k xp in the tech tree, I still say this is a bug. And if it charges you 150k to come from the Tiger, but 77k when you use free xp, that would be a bug too. Either way, it is showing the wrong cost and that needs to be fixed.

Once again, it costs 150k to research from the Tiger but 77.5k from the JPanther and these values don't depend on whether you're using Free XP to do so. If you have researched both of those tanks, you can choose which one you'd like to research the Ferdinand from. If you're using Free XP to get the Ferdinand though, you'll still have to have the Tiger or JPanther researched (perhaps using Free XP as well) and the same conditions would apply. If you only have the Tiger's top configuration, but you haven't unlocked the JPanther yet, I can't think of any reason to display 77.5k as the cost for the Ferdinand on its page. Perhaps it's because the developers thought it might be considerate to let you know that there was a cheaper option for getting it. This situation may not be preferable, and it might get confusing or misleading for certain users, but it isn't an "error" on their part, strictly speaking

Devs, please consider this. I was on the NA testing team, so I spent many hours on the dev server mostly testing Chinese Lights by myself. While testing, when I took supremacy bases, I received XP at the end of the battle. When I took encounter bases, I received 0 XP. In a real battle, it is harder to take 1 central base then it is to take 1 of 3 or 4 bases. Yet the XP reward is skewed toward the easier bases.

I suggest the (perhaps unpopular) notion that taking a the more difficult encounter base should provide at least the same level of XP as taking a supremacy base.

It is, after all, the Objective stated at the beginning of the battle.

9.7 gun sounds on most tanks I tested are very good in “arcade” mode.

9.7 gun sounds are still terrible in aiming mode. When I shoot, my cannons still sound like pneumatic t-shirt cannons being decompressed. The silliness of the sound makes me giggle and mock the game when I’m in battle.

When I am shot… well, there was nobody to shoot back at me in 9.7 testing. However, in the latest patch of 9.6, my buddies have tested sounds with me a great deal. In aiming mode, point blank shots to my tank are weak. They do not give me the adrenaline rush of BOOM “Someone’s shooting me, I’m about to die!” Like shooting, the sounds when I am shot in arcade mode are very good.

I fail to understand why the sounds are different in aiming vs arcade mode. My friends and I all wish they were the same sounds in both modes. Clearly there was a reason for making one mode sound fantastic and the other pathetic.

Blitz developers are halfway there! 🙂 I suggest two options to make most of your user base happy with the gun sounds:

1. Use the arcade mode sounds in both aiming and arcade mode
2. Give us a slider option to select between what we have now in beta 9.7 or arcade mode sounds all the time

"V" commands - it might be nice on a touch device, but I'm just not going to use this on a keyboard. WHY? I can hit ONE key to do what I want now immediately, or I can hit another key, move the mouse, find the one I want, click it, and release the key in 5 steps. From a Beta perspective, I can say the V commands work. From a user perspective, I just won't use it. Doing 5 steps to do what I can now in 1 step is just dumb.

9.8 still awards NO XP for capturing the base in encounter (a harder task), but does award XP for capturing the base in supremacy (an easier task). As seen here, both are victories for capturing bases, but zero XP for the hard encounter capture, and 362 XP for the easier supremacy ones.

The open test is only 4 days long and then this account will disappear. The test isn't about what they can do for you - it's about finding and reporting bugs on behalf of the community. Don't bother grinding. Use tanks you already have to test for WG and the rest of the community.

I wish for Fall back or Retreat. I hate when it gets intense and your team falls back and you end up out there by yourself. When Fafskii said to check the quick commands I got excited thinking they had added new ones like Reloading or Fall back.

The future commands are slower to operate and more prone to errors when trying to use them compared to the current ones. You can get used to it, but swiping is slower and less direct than tapping the thing. Holding down the button is a bigger issue, which makes the easy use of "attack" even better.
The one part that is very good about them is that you can put the button anywhere... as long as you don't want to use the upper part of the screen. Control customisation is long due an overhaul.

I want to order HUD changes without that limiting field, I really wanted to make the HUD more comfortable for my hands, and also the joysticks are a little difficult to control, sometimes it doesn't respond as it should. BLACK still does not render correctly on some (PBR?) tanks in 9.8. $$$→Gold→Camo and when players pay money for BLACK, we expect BLACK. Whitish, grayish, silver is not BLACK. The Cromwell B example here is rendered correctly and the other examples are not. We are not receiving what we payed for. This needs to be fixed.

The vz 55 is a bit similar to the stb 1 in terms of gameplay, and the performance is like the wz-113 , a little livelier, but the terrain crossing is felt in the water and on the hill, regardless of the sight up to 15 kn h, at a long distance it is imprecise,but the new mechanics are quite interesting, and time will show its advantages,the new map is excellent, hd clean, but somewhat cramped, there is plenty of room for mediums and light,with lots of hull dawn positions, but light will hardly show its meaning on this map, the positions of Td are quite close and it will take a lot of patience not to spot, in everything for now GG WG and developers, keep it up, every new thing in the game is good

Oddly, my ARL 44 has no ammo in the Open Test. Not sure if this is a bug or happened in copying to the test server. Luckily, it stops you from entering battle with zero ammo! 🤣

I download the file to folder on my desktop, then extract the content, then open the new extracted folder and find the aplication file and click to open, this gives you the log in screen. When the test is over I delete the folder from my desktop! Good Luck

BLACK is not rendering correctly on the new tanks. This Vz 55 is supposed to be wearing BLACK camo like the Lorraine 40t (same camo) shows correctly here. I paid for BLACK, not silver/whitish/gray. When we pay for a specific color camo and it does not render correctly, we are NOT getting what we paid for.

Yesterday I gave my feedback on the improper colors for the Czech tanks, but was side tracked away from feedback on the Czech game mechanic and I haven't seen much/any feedback on it yet. Many people believe the new Chinese mechanic gives an unfair advantage. By comparison, the Czech mechanic, IMO, does not give an unfair advantage. I don't really need the new mechanic, but it is a nice feature. I enjoy the balance of the new HT line and I will play them in Random battles. Other than the camo colors, well done. 🫡

The chest was an offer I subscribed to on my main account. When they copied my main account to the test account the subscription came over. You can't get stuff like that on the test account normally. I reported it though because it may (or may not) reveal a deeper problem with UI resources.

It's because you don't have any Op, Event, etc on your garage screen right now. In the Home/Garage view, you can access that stuff while you're still in the platoon. But in the platoon screen, you can see your buddy's ready status and platoon related stuff.

When they leaked the info about the platooning UI, they said 10.1 not 10.0. Just to clear that up, it won't let you go into battle like that. But it doesn't tell you "Unsuitable" until you hit the Battle button. Recent versions told people Unsuitable, Good, Best as soon as your buddy makes their choice - much earlier in the process.

Bug in Clan Description
The clan description cannot be edited on PC. You cannot scroll with a wheel. There is no scroll bar to scroll with. The up/down arrows do not scroll the clan description field.

The new smasher looks TERRIBLE 🤮 the smasher in 10.0 has more detail than the smasher in 10.1 🤔and the new one looks way too shiny, the (old/current) dark(ish) brown looks 10x better than the new washed-out brown. (The new AT15 on the other hand, looks better than, and has MORE detail than the smasher (and the old/current AT15), which makes the smasher look like a rush-job by the art department)

The Smasher PBR files are ok.

Dial down the brown because it just reminds me of brownies and now I want one cause the color is too dark. The brown needs to be lighter to give off a rusted color look.

Don’t get me wrong it’s nice to see more Halloween tanks get their PBR files, though if WG could, lighten up the brown a bit.

No. The reason of WG made a copy and paste Sheridan (Sheridan missle) is because back in the days before this copy and paste tank appeared, the ATGMs were in tier 9 and tier 10. And soon people hated the ATGMs because of how stupidly annoying and unfair to MM they were. WG 1st thought adding ATGMs can made people more enjoyable to play with them, but they soon got lots of complaining from the community and players, so they decided to remove them from the game and made it separately only can play on Some certain special game modes. So if you still trying to ask the similar questions about for ATGMs, everyone will disagree on your opinion
