That can happen too. I've come to the conclusion that WG does not like not being able to do something for technical reasons. They have some very clever people who like finding ways to make stuff work, especially if nobody else has done it. But it's not easy and it can take years to finally figure it out.

Right now they are busy making Reforged work. There's stuff like ranks and some maps that will be added some time after the initial release. Other features, like Mirage, Lost Temple and a reworked Himmelsdorf are also coming later.

So don't hold your breath waiting for Marks of Excellence. It doesn't look like it's in their current plans.

I don't understand what's been going on with Big boss lately, but since the Big Boss mode returned last week, I've played the FV 215b 183 and only got to be the boss three times. The rest of the time, I'm stuck as the bomber or healer. Meanwhile, the FV 215b 183 has a long reload time, poor dispersion, slow speed, and bad camouflage. Even with the bomber's engine boost, it can't get to the target in time to drop bombs. As for the healer role, after firing one shot, it heals about 700-800 HP (if it hits) and then has to wait 20 seconds. It's too slow to get close to the team to use the healing skill before they're almost dead. Occasionally, it gets the Poison Injection and Graviton abilities. But the matches always follow the same pattern: Bomber > Healer > Bomber > Poison Injection > Bomber > Healer > Bomber > Graviton > Bomber > Healer > Bomber > Graviton > Bomber > Healer > Bomber. And every match features heavy tank bosses charging in kamikaze-style and dying three times, followed by them hiding behind tank destroyers. Then, the boss hides behind weak, camouflaged tank destroyers, allowing the enemy boss to get a double kill with one shot. The feeling of coming home from a day of work and constantly experiencing this is incredibly frustrating. Every time I enter a match, it's just Bomber, Healer, and then Bomber, Healer again.

Ping usually has nothing to do with the server, it has to do with the internet "distance" The more network hops it takes for you to get to the server the higher your average ping. You can check this with a trace route app like pinplotter. Actually I doubt that WG owns any of the server that blitz runs on, much more likely that wg is running their servers on a cohosting service that rents space on virtual servers. But you are right, some clusters seem to have probles with performance, where they start losing packets like crazy, or ping spikes through the roof. C2 cluster in APAC is really bad about this. though C0 & C1 rarely have the same problem.

Actually 3 parts: Player side, Wg server, and internet connection between the two. Even if your side is very fast, your ping can be slow because you are a long way from the server. In my case i'm in Asia, so my connection to NA is always about 150+ms just because I am a long way from Chicago. The only way to change your cluster is log out and log back in, then maybe you will connect to a new cluster.

Dear WG Dev, is it possible to have weather mode in-game, i.e. dawn, dusk, day, night, rain, fog, etc… where map and visibility is reduced and cannot see clearly or at all across map. It depends if your connection is direct from India to Singapore. If you have inexpensive (cheap) internet carrier, they might route you through Europe or somewhere far before reaching Singapore. You need to do TRACERT from your computer to WG Singapore sever, and see where your connections are routing you to.

You can switch your default server on their web site, the page is a little difficult to find. But it's more than anoying to have to do it EVERY TIME you switch servers.

It’s great intention to play fully upgraded tank, but how do you get to fully upgraded without playing it? I cant free XP everything all the time. But i do agree with you, playing stock tank or with teammates using stock tank hurts the overall play quality, but this happens frequently in game.

It would be great if WG doesn’t have stock tank, and all tank fully upgraded when researched. Just add all the tank equipment grind to the next tank overall XP requirement, the grind would be equally long, just less stock tank teammates hurting play quality. Or this intended, to suffer the grind?!

How about we have a new game mode we can call it "Rating Realism mode" (for example).
In this mode regular and realistic battle features will be combined spotting mechanics should work the same as regular mode with a little tweaks but no armor highlights will be visible and hp deduction should be rng based as regular mode, but spotting mechanics should differ a little (currently in realistic mode a player can detect enemy tanks with auto zoom even if they are behind hard cover or hill, but in this new mode this should not happen a player should no longer detect enemy tanks with auto zoom unless they are clearly visible and not behind any hard or soft cover, a new feature should be implemented called "Commander's Binocular" with a seperate assigned button, by using this feature a player can view 2x or 3x zoom to detect enemy tanks movement.
This mode can also replace current rating mode and can be implemented in professional tournaments also to make it more competitive.

Perhaps, you guys could give us what we want while we wait for reforged which should actually focus on realistic physics such as no auto flip, pushing the engine to it's limits with bigger maps to reintroduce 10v10, a more "war thunder" tech tree with ranks instead of tiers with tier iv to grind up to vi... AND OFC LESS PAID CONTENT, if u call it reforged it has to be focused on actual content, a wotb with "reskin" graphics will not attract more players, you guys want more players but forget that there's an entire playerbase filled with vets and people with actual interest in the game. Lega has some good points as well as some good suggestions. Reforged is an opportunity to reinvigorate the game. I think that WG could appeal to the fun mode crowd and the realistic/historic gameplay crowd both if they put some effort into it. I’m in the realistic, historic, campaign mode camp but like Blitz gameplay better than wot, warthunder, etc. I am glad blitz is stepping back from some of the full on goofy **** they were planning. But why it exists we do know, Finland had this plan to order new bigger guns from Britain for their charioteers and then give the leftover charioteer guns to their comets sort of a two birds with one stone upgrade and I think they made a new turret for comet to house this charioteer gun, but Britain didn’t sell the new guns to Finland so this whole plan fell apart and no comet upgrade was made and charioteers kept their guns

There’s actually no solid evidence it will be a collector, as tier 10s are collectors during testing before they become tech tree, and if you have the extended tech tree you can see you buy it with xp and not gold, but knowing WG it will probably be a collector tank

The blue collector name is only for testing but they still call refer to it as a tech tree tank like with the VZ 55 i remember it being collector in testing

There is a difference between game updates and getting reforged actually ready for the pulic. There were - to me - a surprising number of ui shortcomings, missing features and bugs. Plus the game is going to need a fair bit of optimization for mobile use. I would hope that WG spaces some of those aspects out and does not try to cram it all in a test or two.

Depending on progress, we could get a new UltraTest, with incremental updates of the server and UI ... but that remains to be seen.

Mobile players can target a specific point on the enemy tank, even through objects, likes buildings or stones. This is impossible for a computer player. Furthermore, auto-aim automatically goes to the center of the enemy tank when a computer player uses it, making auto-aim completely useless for computer players.

This imbalance systematically gives victory to mobile players when they face computer players, and when the situation arises.
The system really needs to be rebalanced so that computer players aren't at such a disadvantage and can still have a chance of winning.

Strongly disagree. Auto-aim is rarely needed on PC. Aiming and snapping shots is 10 times easier with a mouse compared to swiping on a small mobile screen. Swapping between shells is also far more intuitive and faster on PC. Mobile players are already at a disadvantage — they have limited screen space, and aiming at a moving target by swiping is significantly harder. Is anyone else having an issue with 'Awards'? For the last 2 days I've only been getting Badges and very occasionally a Medal on the on the 1st page of Battle results/stats. I've tried an uninstall/re-install but still no awards show. And before anyone says it - I know I'm not the best player but I'm not so bad as to get no awards at all. Last game was over 2K damage, 2 tanks destroyed & 4 damaged 3588XP, 64K credits earned, 4th on the leader board and no awards to show for it.

I think it goes both ways. Both mobile and PC have pros and cons, it comes down to which one each person plays on, and how the RNG plays into effect with it.
From my experience playing both, PC is a bit better, but not so significantly that it makes mobile just lose.

Even then it comes down to what kind of device mobile plays on. If you are using a smaller phone and have bigger fingers, your worse off then someone with smaller fingers playing on an IPad.
PC makes it a bit easier to lead shots in Grav, whereas mobile can make it easier to lead ground shots because it can lock on the front.
However, neither method of playing is that superior to the other that in 1v1s one of them just loses, it’s still skill based

(hidding tanks with last shot to win) I have tested both computer and phone ones, compared with friends, already did videos showing that problem. When tanks are hidding the current auto aim always give victory to phone players beacause they only need to shoot, while computer player have first to target before again before shooting taking twice as long than mobile player, during this lap of time computer player is always destroyed, meaning victory for mobile player. This specific point needs to be rebalanced.

I disagree … pc players can hit shots that I can never fire as a mobile player; like firing on the move at high speed with turret aimed the other way … or staying sniped at a particular pinpoint location.
Mobile players have to turn aim off, then back on, … too much trouble typically.

I do prefer the idea of the auction being in game, but other things about the in game auction were SO poorly executed the tank lot sizes were so small (only 125?!) they guranteed that tanks would either sell out in literal seconds so most people don’t even get a chance to buy tanks, or ensure that they will never receive a discount two things that kinda defeat the point of the auction for many people

Fun fact : shooting in far distance gives less base XPs . You have sniper badge so i guess you was sniping and farming dmg . Thats why you don't have mastery badge . I once sniping in deadrail with my grille 15 and dealt 6870 dmgs and only got 1 class badge.

Type 5 line was never gonna work, the O-Is would be severly handicapped, and would probably not even get their HE guns. Just a big fat, slow target for newer players to farm. O-Ni would be somewhat okay but would be drowned by any tier 8. The O-Ho would be outperformed by the VK100, Type 4 would admittedly be much better than the Mauschen and rub shoulders with the VKB and E75.

No point in trying to balance all of that.

It is too slow to get to the position quickly , good armor against standard Ammunitions but not against premium ammunitions , too big so it will be the main target to enemy team . But it also has the upsides , great Alpha and great DPM plus tungsten and adrenaline so you can chunk people harder , high HPs allows you to win all trades , its gun has one of the best penetration values in the game . In my opinion , it is mid in performance term but it is really fun to play , i enjoy playing it . It is the tank i would use when i want to messing around.

I forgot to mention its gun is also accurate

i use razer THX positional sound which is supported by wg. the tank shooting is nice and low and you can tell 360 degrees where shooting is taking place. but there have been noises in wg effects which have nothing to do with battle like howling wind which ruin listening to low frequencies. i guess with THX it is more irritating. the lack of extra battle noises have been pretty good for several months now.

Ping and packet loss are usually due to conditions on the internet and are very rarely caused by the clusters or servers. One simple fix is to turn the power off on your entire system (device, router, modem, everything). When it all reboots clean operating routines will be used and a path around any internet problem might be found.

Grind and play tanks you like. I personally do not care to play tier X like many hype up to be. Yes, the best players play the top tier and do well at that tier, and I’ve also accept I’m just an average player who enjoys playing mid tier in tanks that may not be main stream or OP. So grind any tank and line you like, personally I think most tanks are fun, except the super slow tanks like the AT# and snail tanks that’s way too team dependent.

Ping plotter helps find issues but then what? We players can't go fix problems with intermediaries! I submitted pingplotter data in a ticket to wg, got the standard reply that they'll look into it and here I am still facing the same problems, I mean 500 ping on a 30mbps network connection with no background data usage is a joke!

All that is true, but there's still limits on what we can do. WG has some influence on their DNC supplier, we have some (small) inluence on our ISP's. Getting the company in the middle to shape up is difficult.

Other than that, occaisonally there's a VPN location that can bypass the problem in the middle. Ping usually goes up, but might not be as high.

They will revert to sbmm with new client I have no doubt. Howls were heard from better players sliding down to 50%. The poorer players rising to 50% offered no complaints 🙂 . Seems obvoius to me that although win rate is visible in new client, it is hardly so. I think it was already stated that Ratings will be the new 'better player' measurement in future. Fine with me because I'm one of those poorer players 🙂

We shall see. certainly the poorer and newer players form some kind of silent majority who find that winning is more fun. Remember the headline 'we fixed matchmaking'? That's the point in sports with handicapting.. better players always find a way to win. Prior sbmm just cranked down too hard on the better players all at once. Even his hisroyalfattness was struggling too much. Softer, slower adjustments are needed.

Do you mean you can't find tanks that you own in the garage?

If that's it, open the tank carosel at the bottom of the garage and select the garbage can on the right. That will remove all the filters, and your tanks may show up.

Plus if you were destroyed, the repair cost is generally highest for tier X tanks.
TT tier X (if that's what you're using) also have relatively crappy credit coefficients, even with premium account time

That was changed in update 8.5, when repairs became free. The credit coefficients were adjusted to make up for that savings so profitability should be roughly the same.

Everything is more expensive in tier X and it's not unusual for players to lose credits there. (Not everyone loses credits, of course).

Another bad push is making 'play nn battles in a heavy' type mission. I think all the afk's in fun modes might be some folks beginning battles, but playing fortnite instead... do that 20 or 30 times and mission accomplished.

In Reforged tiers 1-3 are moved into a separate group and the remaining tiers renumbered to 1-7. When Reforged was first introduced your question was asked. The answer was "There may be a level 8 in the future."

I don't expect that very soon though. There's still a lot of work being done to get Reforged ready and there's bound to be more once the final version is live. But someday, maybe....

Tier 8 (11) would be so cool I’d imagine it’d be something like the first prototypes of modern MBT’s like XM1 (Abrams prototype) or stuff like T-72
Or with level 8-10 (tier 11-13) we could basically have WoT modern armor blitz
So blitz is both a mini version of pc and console
Object 490 would be so cool to see, Abrams TTB, Challenger falcon, T-14 armata…if you can’t already tell I love a certain kind of tank design

Plus with extra tiers it’d be kinda funny to see what tanks are left underpowered (undertiered) when realistically they should be higher like any tanks that should’ve been tier 10 but downgraded like MBT-B, Kpz 70P, Vickers Mk 3 and Tornvagn etc

What’s going to be interesting is there will actually be really good light tank content in level 8+ there’s a good amount of modern light tanks when previously they struggle to find light tanks to add to tier 8-10 we currently have no tier 10 premium lights, only 5 nations have light tech trees, we’ve only gotten two tier 9 premium lights recently with LeKpz 70 and ATAC
So with modern tanks we can get a lot more

Nearly every single week I try for carbon and have only ever gotten it once, I feel like there should always be a camo drop and which one/tier is the random part

There is a violation category for that. Select Contact Support/Report a Violation/In the Chat/Violation in the common hangar chats or in the platoon invitations, or training rooms. Attach a screenshot of the violation and include in the ticket the violators nickname.

I also recommend including the violators WG ID. You can copy both the name and ID by selecting the box next to the name on his profile. Make a clear statement of it being doxing and reference the EULA prohibition on personal information.

The one limitation is that support wants tickets only from those affected by the violation.

Epic camos are the most common camos in the game they’re everywhere and most of the time the only camos you have regular access to at any time
With how many camos are in the game it’s so lame that the same few “epic” camos are recycled in EVERY single event🙄

Yes true it’s unfair how an entire week of missions doesn’t even give you a camo, on top of that tier locking them, a WEEK of dedication to the game for an 8% drop is ridiculous (T_T)

But in general I’ve been hoping they’d make some more unique camos available there’s so many that are basically unused “you could buy this camo for gold back in 2017” well now it’s 2025 and there’s zero way to get it update the camo or customization container or SOMETHING or rotate the camos for gold section like you used to, it’s been stuck at what it is now for 3 years

It's more of a an account merge than a server merge so far. Doing that opens up new possibilities. Only changes to how we login to support appear to have been implemented so far.

The ability to play on different game servers, etc. appear to be part of the single realm change of Reforged. We will have to wait for that to be finished but there is some basic information on it in the
Reforged Update Release Notes.

Not yet. Several tests were planned. A lot of feedback was given about Test 1 and the devs are busy making changes based on that feedback. The second test has been delayed so that as many of those changes can be included as possible. It's still too early to say when it will all be finished.

There’s been minor technical updates but anything substantial appears to be saved for Test 2.

WG hasn’t said how many other tests will occur or how often. Any future tests, beyond Test 2, will probably depend on what more is needed and when work on new implementations is completed.

On support’s website the server status shows green and it’s too early for the daily reboot, so probably not. (I’m not staff though).

It could be a connection problem, rung pingplotter or other traceroute programs to see. The support website has links for those.

That’s a tough one. You could reboot your router and pray, disconnect and reconnect to find a different cluster or try a vpn with a location in Tokyo or Singapore. It may never be good because of the distance.

Where do you get the legendary operation boxes? I’ve never seen them in my game other than that recent AT-15 draw (the box that contains old BP content, and different from the AE Phase boxes)

There's some sort of criteria for it appearing in the store, but what the criteria are is usually a mystery.

Shame that blowing wind noises at low frequencies are constant for May starting today. Prior 2 months were pretty good at keeping useless howling away from the bass shooting audio frequencies. If you have a headset, sounds like you're waiting for a bus in a rain storm. I can equalize it out, but would rather not, so no kudos in May to whoever at wg adds the sound effects.
