To solve all problems each player must play his own tank, there can't be 2 Kran or 2 Felice.
Each team must play 7 different tanks EZ

What would maybe make more sense would be a tank limit. Like no tank can be used more than 3x in a team. So you cannot play 6x Kran and 1x Light. U actually have to play 3x 116F3 3x Kran + 1x Light.

1. What do you guys think about the tournament rewards? Quite a lot of players (from what I heard) complain that current tournament rewards are not enough, and in my opinion Weaker teams are definitely not earning much from tournaments. How are you guys going to address the issue or such non-satisfaction?
2. As people here probably not know, Asia server tournament scene currently is weaker than any other servers (The same can be said about North America server), are there anything in plan to stimulate these servers to allow these servers have more tournament activity?
3. (a very selfish question) Custom Clan Logos? 😂 I know they are only available in big tournaments, but if there can be standards about what kind of occasions they will be given out, and criteria, it would be nice.

We had serious problems entering the tournament yesterday. Could not send invites, people could not enter, the "my team" button was blanked and it did not work etc. Could not even disband my team.

As to prizes: they are ridiculous. Like 7 gold each for winning a tournament. Just LOL.
Even 10x more would be very little. You give 50 gold per day for free (to some), but can't afford meaningful prizes.

However many comp players including myself think that the way the tournaments are formatted are a mistake. The "groups of death" mm shouldn't be used for these tournaments.

Better teams deserve a better chance to move up to gold and silver tournaments and only face equal level teams in those tournaments

Groups of death should be removed from all types of tournaments, it should all be random so the " top level clans " doesn''t always have to face clans at a similar level, nice to see a slight increase in prizes but in order to actually have more people interested in tourneys the rewards needs to reach levels as the previous bronze/silver/gold tournaments where you could earn a decent amount of gold and also if I remember correctly 2-3 millions of coins, that way it was fun and I know that way more clans participated and the reason that many competitive clans are inactive in tournaments is because of the low rewards, if they will be increased I can guarantee you that more high level clans, including the one I'm representing would participate more frequently :^)

Even though my clan has been attempting in literally every single tournaments possible since last year, the prizes has been one of the reasons why players stopped playing tournaments. I personally have already 1.5k tournament battles under my belt but I am not going to stop just because prizes are getting lower and lower. But I will stop once everyone else stops. Which is why imo it is important to increase retention rate of players in tournaments as well, not just about newbies.

The reason I forced bring my team to join as many tournaments as possible is kinda due to our nature of how we play in tournaments. We use experience as our way to doing good in tournaments. We want to face strong opponent in QTs as well, but as most of them are joining for the prize I don't see many good teams joining recently, so as the experience we harvest from these QT are not that valuable as well.

Even for a no life comp player like me that have over 1.5k tournament battles on NA. I’ve been losing interest in regular tournaments due to lack of prizing and formatting recently. And the only reason I believe many of us are keep going at this point is just to hang out with friends. There’s really no point to get really good at tournaments and competitive play if there’s no good rewards and the chance to enter an offline is slim.

Fortunately for me i m in a clan that gets to tour 4 quite often and wins in quick tourney and even then i dont get profit from these qts. So just think about the clans that have just started playing, it must be discouraging to lose a lot of credits and not even win the tourney

When I open the game can’t see any tournaments, after some minutes tournaments appear and the green key says “partecipate” even if the team was created by me. After more minutes l can only see players who joined, after I can see also candidates, the all disappear for a while and go on like this again. It is happening also to someone else?

1. We think that everything is fine right now. Tournaments are nor platform where everyone can farm more than in random battles. It's additional kind of battles where you can play with team.
2. More tournament activities won't resolve this situation, if players don't want to play in tournaments. In this case, bigger amount of tournaments will be bad decision because more tournaments won't have enough teams to participate. But we are thinking of ways to resolve it.
3. We are not going to do that in close future.

I kinda like the format of these tournaments, makes it fast for seeding out the teams that aren't highly competitive and then putting you in a BO3 with good opponents. However I wasn't a fan of only having one other team in my finals bo3 bracket but meh they were good games all round

The BO1 means if you make one mistake = you are out. Doesn't promote good teamplay imo. If the BO1 was a Double Elimination it would at least be better.

@silver vapor the main goal of the first stage is weeding out these teams, who register on tournament but don't come to the battles. That's why we use normalized gorups and Bo1 (in other cases the first stage will take much time)

Making credits in tier X is rare, especially in tourneys. Gold is shot often. I've had battles where I'll loose 100k plus. I honestly dont think tourneys should be played in the effort to make credits. I see it as a way to train, and also having fun with friends

Moreover, the bronze series tournaments have really nice prizes as well, I suggest you guys go check it up, because I think these are the prizes you are looking for, which are slightly higher than last year's bronze series

1. About the issue with start-time of the round: this issue connected with a new version of tournaments automatization. The waiting time for the next round decreased and the next round will be started just after finishing previous. But as a result we faced with an issue with displaying start time of the next round (this time is unknown until the previous round be finished). We are developing the solution for this.

2. About the quick tournaments and issues with operations with a team: We are developing fix to improve the performance of quick tournaments and solve a couple of issues with it.

Then when you came back to the hangar the tournament battle was already started (and your team was at the same time in the training battle / not ready). The timer you see is displaying interval between battles in the match (2 minutes). In this case I see no bug. You've been in the training room when the invitation to the training room has been sent to the players of your team. Please make attention that the next match will be started just after previous match will be finished. You've been waiting for the opponent from previous round and started training battle. When the opponent has been determined the tournament system sent both of you invitations to the grand final which your team missed.

The solution is: DON'T start any battles when you're waiting for the invitation for the next round.

It’s an awful system but it’s as simple as just not being greedy when playing tournaments

"Being greedy", you mean using the unknown amount of time for when the finals of the tournament will occur to play the game, in stead of waiting because wargaming don't know how to tell the time or have the ability to code something which a 10 year old could code in scratch.

This is similar to how they could not figure out how to remove the 20000 gold crates after it has been purchased once. They just leave it in the store and let people think they might have the chance to buy it again.

We also need in-game team chat within the tourney UI, similar to what the training rooms have. This would help to get players into Discord or just to issue simple instructions like “heavy up for the next match”, or “cap AB”, etc.

When your in battle, we dont have time to use a chat too, there for everyone is using discord.
It`s just to setup your discord server with an extra chatroom, if your clan need it.

No, you’re right. Ideally everyone is already on Discord but in the teams I’ve been playing with we often have a mix of non-regulars playing who may not be already set up. Some simply don’t want to learn or use Discord. Some just aren’t good about logging into Discord during tourneys, etc. for whatever reason.

I know low team counts might be a problem, but I wouldn't mind seeing Tier specific tournaments, like Tier 6-only, Tier 7-only, etc. As it is now, if you don't have a top tier tank in any of the tourneys, you might as well not play. At least not if you want to be competitive. There's lots of great Tier 7 tanks, but really only the Tier 8 tanks see any action in the Tier 7-8 bracket. Same for Tier 5-6, where it's almost all Tier 6 tanks, except for the occasional newer players trying to use Tier 5 tanks.

Maybe having single-tier tourneys would attract more players, since you could still reasonably play at whatever tier you had tanks.

More prizes, almost everyone needs credits. Camos, attachments or something if you do good. Its not worth putting effort or even participate if u gain nothing. And eventually people doesnt participate. Its better to act sooner than later.

In normal tournaments its not exactly motivating for casual clans if you gather people, drop in first round and get almost nothing. Its not an easy job to gather active clan war squad (Im talking casual clans) especially if you dont do good in tournaments. More prizes for casual tournament clans.

Quick tournaments are better for them, but not good for top clans. Just yoloing and having fun. And normal tournaments are not worth putting effort because prizes are bad. Its very time consuming to play competitively and it needs to be rewarding or people will stop playing.

Regarding low team counts and queues, how about adjusting the limit on how much you can play in tourneys? Right now it’s two entries per player per tourney. Maybe remove that limit? Often there’s still time left and our team wouldn’t mind a 3rd round. Removing the 2-entry limit would keep the queue fuller until closing time.

I want more budget twister type tournaments that I can be excited for. They don't have to lead into a offline necessarily, and the challenge for stars tournament represents that. I feel that as a higher end player- the matchmaking with normalized brackets are fine. But I feel that the best way to increase NA tournament numbers is better tournaments and more tournaments. Also please update the cups for the new offseason. In short, I feel the matchmaking is as good as it can get for the tournaments, (but facing the same five teams isn't fun) I feel the waiting times between games are inconsistent (but thats a super small problem)

And I feel canyon is spammed way too much.

A slight changes in the schedule of tournaments for next week: Gold and Silver series tournaments will be held on Sunday, 27th of January. Bronze series tournaments will be held in normal schedule: on Tuesday (22th of January) and on Thursday (24th of January).

In addition, starting by 18th of January, Normandy map will be added into the list of maps for tournaments for all tiers.

For one season the top teams of got a VK 72.01k but that was eventually turned into a tech tree tank and for the first ever clan wars camping on WoT the top teams got an M60 as a reward.

Highly doubt the system with Bonds and what you can buy with them (better equipment and reward vehicles) will ever see it's way to Blitz. Seeing what direction Blitz took, you don't need to be good at the game to get anything of value. Everything is pretty much sold and the only thing earned by playing well are camouflages and medals. (I guess avatars too, now.)

Tournaments are becoming super boring, feels like a chore to play them. The rewards are stale. Getting 20 gold for 2 hours of playing...I mean sure, great for someone who is F2P, I guess. You can watch ads as a F2P player and get more gold than playing the tournaments. Credits just become useless at one point if you play so many tournaments. I don't know, I wish there was more for clan activities and not just tournaments. Or at least if there was more incentive to play tournaments; credits and gold isn't really motivating.

By keeping the slower tanks into a corner, you should be able to farm.

Against those comps, just don’t get spotted, and try to force an engagement by tying the batchat if possible.

In 2017 you could get 2.2 mil for Tuesday and Thursday while winning 4.4 on Saturday. Win all three and you get 8.8 million. Most of us were somewhere between 5-15 million at the time so they were awesome. After a while you just rack up and absurd amount of credits and there’s no real need for more other than it being funny. Snow had 140 million at one point.
I think panda is spot on. Have there be camos or reward tanks or something special for tournaments. And not just huge ones. Credits are ok but honestly, everyone has tier 7-8 premiums if they’re playing tournaments. If they need credits, they can grind them so they aren’t special

But for the weekend regular tournaments give us camos, avatars, a currency that allows to unlock rare tanks of our choice, and if we save that currency we can eventually unlock a tank exclusive available through that currency

I think new camos would be pretty nice which would change between the different tournament seasons . The Twister Camo was nice but I think the camo was the same for the Twister Cup and prof tourny was the same . Perhaps a different camo for the team that wins per example : Prelims , The twister season tourny , prof tourny qualifiers , spring season 1st place and other major tournaments .Though that also depends on how much players care about camo .

If a clan is sufficiently attractive to gather two good teams good for them. I think a big problem with the one clan one team solution is- the fact that we lack tournament participation as a server and organized play, and any restriction for team creation can cause the amount of teams and players to decrease.

But this is for me-
Clans offer a more intimate relationship between members, the chance to scrim and practice, and losing that benefit would be pretty sad.

Sure it’s super boring to see three pramo teams in twister, two purpl, and two pncr- but having a unified collection of organized super unis is better than having less qualified teams qualify and get clapped by the one really good pncr, pramo and purpl team.

Or they’ll just form the second and third teams will just form sister clans and then rejoin once the tournament ends, which just makes clans less meaningful

Sure that’s a problem with teams in clans (match-fixing) but wg should do a better job to prevent that, and the harms of that one small problem don’t outweigh the goods of multiple teams.

I’ve only seen one series of internal clan battles be rigged. Everything else is legit

I think it’s unfair to punish clans for being that strong and active and if you force the issue of one team per clan, they’ll just make a separate clan under a similar name

Void and void 2 are perfect examples of this

It’s a disservice to top end players that they can’t play because they share clan tags with another team

To be honest I think these tournaments are cool, and I do care about every result, but I can see by next week, I’ll forget about it and move on.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll work my butt off and do whatever I can to win. That doesn’t change, but I don’t lose sleep over a quick tournament

In the grand scheme of things, who cares about a Tuesday quick tournament in December?

I think this tournament has been good so far. The final four are exactly what I expected and it should be fun.

I almost wish you could choose your own reward. Credits, a little gold, tokens to get a camo, or tokens to get a tank (tank and camo are reward items and exclusive) (get x tokens to unlock those items)

To be fair, you get a tier 8 premium if you win.

3 for 2nd
1 for 3rd/4th
Once you get 10 tokens you can get the exclusive camo. 20 for the tank

The tier x could be the t95e6
8 is the t-34-3 or super mutant
6 victory or fury

Each camo would be tier specific and only for the tier you earn it in
X is red
8 is blue
6 is green

There are things like this that could make tournaments more interesting then just credits

Most of the player base has premiums so they can just play pubs and ratings instead of the tournaments

But yeah, I would like to see more diversity and more rewards as a whole. I think that’s a easy way to improve the player situation

like you may as well throw contests for a given premium tank every month- say top 2 teams gets a premium (one could be a Lowe and the other gets a PZ V/IV or something)

And I’d like to see wargaming try to market their best teams a little bit more

Maybe introduce a currency where you can bet on teams, say you buy 100 tokens, and you can gamble them based on the result of a PNCR v Pramo game on some competition that’s streamed
