Some people I know have been saying that when teams get invited into the room 5 minutes before the match, the server of whichever team joins first gets prioritized, which can reduce lag or prevent connection issues.
Is that actually true? Does the game use a server location closer to the country of the team that joined first?

It wasn’t several years ago, but actually a little more recently. Back then, we were all there for a very long time, but we played all our matches successfully and finished the day on a high note.

But what was done back then? Every match was played, the teams were properly notified, and the work was done well.
Back then, there was a different manager and a different approach.
We’re all getting ready for Reforged now. But that doesn’t change the fact that the tournament is taking place in the current version of the game, and if the manager and the tech department can’t handle the basic issues, what awaits tournament players in Reforged? The same thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah, guys, it’s all great, and a lot of fun.
If the tournament manager were chosen based on the principle of “she’s really, really cool and is with us (the tournament players) with all her heart,” I think every other person could be a tournament manager. Her direct responsibility is to deliver positive results. If there are no positive results, what is there to praise her for?

You're coming from an assumption that everything was sunshine and roses before, which was 100% not true. Personally, I'd rather have technical glitches (maybe 1-2 hours of inconvenience) versus a flawed system that hurts my team unfairly (months of training wasted)

If you want systems to improve, there's going to be growing pains. And yes, part of that is 100% pointing out problems. However, attacking the person trying to enact the change or getting so upset over the problems to not want the change is not constructive.

It's like construction on the road. It's annoying when it's there, but we also all want the new shiny road with no potholes.

Technical issues aside, Whamen has been communicating a lot, and has been listening to things the tour scene wanted and wants (like the banned tie breaker maps, for instance). She’s organized and is organizing meetings with the tour scene, collecting all sorts of feedback about big and small things, to make this season better, and to work towards the reforged tour system be as much of a dream as it can be

The difference in prize pool size, which is half, matters, because it means the company is ready to invest half more. players participating in tournaments.

1. Another category, prize pool in 100+ dollars already moves the tournament to a bit another level, not like basic seasons with max prize pool in 50 thousand.
2. More attention from both players and media. More serious involvement from strong and experienced teams, and forming new ones, maybe teams/players who didn’t participate before. Chance of old players coming back or bringing new players from the “big brother” (World of Tanks). Why so much about players ? If you see prize pool in 150k, you think that maybe this is not a one-time action and in the future you can pretend not only for “respect and uvazhuha” (team avatar and profile background), but also for not bad money, which you get for your work and spent time exactly on preparation to the tournament. Media: more money, more viewers, more excitement, interest to watching, more advertising integrations for media people themselves and noise in media space.
3. Less motives - to drop/skip the season, because reward is more significant and valuable, performance of new and experienced teams, more serious fights and preparation to matches (what I described earlier, sorry for repeating)).
4. Increasing trust from players to tournament component, if company drops such money into tournament for cross-platform game, means tournament component will be on serious level and some problems won’t be there. Means you can register and play, try yourself and your team.
5. Possibility to “talk out” experienced and old players, who already with one leg on the doorstep, to leave tournament component or the game overall.
6. After the tournament and if everything goes well, possibility of cooperation with company and sponsor offers? (What in the future can positively affect media component of both company and tournament teams players, and also discipline overall) ???

On NA or Apac you basically automatically get your top 32 thing by making a team. I don't. I have to either learn to play better or (my way) make crazy moves to get into Top32 and get the reward like last season. But crazy moves don't even work now this season and with more competition they won't work at all.

In my opinion, if we want to make an impact on Blitz tournaments, we just complain less and play more.
Being a professional in a certain field, I think professionals prefer self regulation than being regulated by some authority.
We win (or lose) by skill, rather than on technicalities or by exploiting the rules.
If the system goes wrong during a battle, we should act with chivalry to sort it out (or re-do) among ourselves, unless we are trying to tell the whole world that we win purely on luck.
In my opinion, the Tournament Manager should just be a mediator to help the players sort out issues among themselves, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't play at Top 8 EU level. Only played training against Top 8 Teams on EU like 6 years ago. You remember like 2020 Endgame absolutely dominating EU. Playing against them was like you click battle and know they play with you. Back then I was the guy in the team that was only in the team because the team didn't get enough players otherwise. I learned a lot there tough and found my love for clanwars. But even when I don't play at this level. I know what fine clanwars looks like and I also know I can't do it because it is fine and I don't play fine. @supple quartzNooo I don't want to ragebait.
After the death of the team back then I never played at higher level again. I actually tried out with a very good team before this season the first time ever since then. Didn't make it. But learned a lot. Unbelieveable what I have learnt there. In 2 weeks being tryout. That's why I love clanwars. There are people explaining what I can do better. I love that. I don't have that in my current clan at all.
I joined the tournament scene by accident actually if you go back to 2019 march i joined LXN. Why? idk why they let me in but they always had problems getting players together and I was always there so better take me in than playing with 6. Playing Tournaments and trainings 5 days a weeks that was an amazing time. I learned so much. I mean they also were not happy with me at all because you know I had zero tournament experience before joining them and they played always Top 16 EU, mostly Top 10 not getting into top 8 by the slimmest of margin. But this was the best time of wotb I ever had. I loved it there even though I learned their way to play the hard way. But I didn't leave. never did. I still dream of the comeback of the team. It will never happen but it was a better time. The best time. Can you just imagine a team of players all explaining to you that you play bad? I can. And I need that. It is the only way to learn it. It only works the hard way.

Hello I have T32 avatar and Top 20 leader competition. My experience from better CW days of mine are years ago. I always end up in teams were I am more of the kind of player who explains to others what to do. But for the future I want to be the worst guy in the team again. I played a bit with LUV. I learned so much from them you don't know how much I learned there it was insane. It felt so good to get critique. Of course in the moment i got it I was like "What u don't know better cw i played eu top 10 team 139487 years ago" but after a day or so you accepted it and learned from it.
I just love to remember the 1 training in LUV where I played bad in every single battle. Every single one. This was the most deciding training which lead to my exclusion from the team. Do I feel angry against them? no. I am thankful. I learned there. Yes, the training in the next day I tried my best and played at least in damage better than in all other trainings. But nevertheless they showed me, Fano, you can do it better. And I can. I actually did some moves in the current season that I learned there which helped to win a battle. I will always be thankful to this team to let me tryout there. always. This is also why I also rooted for them silently in my body during the season. But I am always forever thankful for anyone who has helped me. Because most people see "oh it is Fano oh no". But some are different. They give me a chance. I give them everything I can.

I think Top 16 teams on EU would do really well on apac. Top 8 100%. For top 1. Maybe you have like 1-4 teams that can compete. but you never had the competition to play against EU, the bigger server who has more competition naturally. I personally obviously wouldn't beat your teams with the teams I am in but these good EU teams. Well. I think you can be very thankful they don't play on your server. Prove me wrong but yet there was no possibility to do it. In the end it is statement vs statement.

would be cool. I love the idea but the time zones are still a problem. NA and APAC players probabably cant play when the majority of EU can play. And EU would be the deciding factor. as we havefar more teams. 109 made in this season. NA only 39 and APAC only 36. according to the Hall of fame. But i just saw APAC 2 guys have place 36. but I wouldn't change much at all. EU has 3 times more teams participating at least. last season It was 4x more. I think you don't want that if it really happens. I didn't want the EU - CIS server merge in 2022 either. Because it directly affected me. On the other hand it introduced rewards for Top 17-32.

I think the suggestion to keep change tanks would just add extra stress to CW, that already is challenging. The caller and players not only need think of strats and keep eye on teamplay and opponent, but also keep track of what tank each player should switch to next. The eventual meta faults should be fixed by devs balancing tanks, and to make key tanks available to whoever wants to grind or buy them for a reasonable amount (read: Felice).

I think map pick/ban is more than enough, with this we can see what maps are unpopular etc. rather than having a preset list of maps

Free to choose, free to use tanks are very fundamentally things that players have. Developers should play a vital role to balance tanks. Seconds, top pro players also contribute a big part of it, the ways pro players pick and plays in tournament games leading as a references that all other trying to “copy” and play the same to get wins. For example if pro players using AC tank X all and wins most of the games then you will see the changes. My suggestion is creating an experiment tour sth just called liked “multi skill proved tournament’ and rule it only 1 type of Tier X select per person, then you will see 7 tier Xs selected for a game. Then it’s really interesting to see how it goes. Also, the reward should be according with the efforts. @queen fox

Banning few tanks would be a good start, but imo this is not enough simply because you will ban let's say three tanks, then at some points peoples will find the new stronger ones, and so on.

That's why doing a mix of both is in my opinion a good thing, yeah you can still ban 116, kran and felice if we take the exemple of this meta, but going for the other idea aswell just makes it even better, also much more enjoyable to watch when it comes to the gameplay too. We all have tanks that we enjoy to play with but can't even dream of playing them in comp simply because of the dominating tanks every tier 10 rebalance
