Yeah we used random maps from the pool for the matches 😌 just the main event tiebreaker rules were in place. The one takes about 30 mins per round more to schedule, which we didn't have time for in this PYS. I'll manually choose maps for pys 2 most likely

The problem here is actually very simple… mby for future tournaments.
If the groups are made manually for 2-3 PYS. The team who got rly bad seeding should get punished even more in those ones cos they did not make a final day, so they should be seeded lower then team wich made it from “ez”group in 1st one.

The problem isn't really the Seeding system itself. It just needs simple adjustments:
-do not count in Battles in noob MM
-use 30d 70battles T10 or 90d 210 battles T10 for seeding.

With that simple change you instantly makes rerolls obsolete.

The only thing that matters is recent stats outside noob MM. I think it it is most fair system.

My career is at 63.9% and mostly was around 64-67% For playing solo outside noob MM it is quite decent. I know real pros do solo 70% or the best players 75%. But I don't.

I genuinely wish teams could be allowed to have their own win rates/elo score

Clan/team win rates/elo would be a far better option than using pub battles as a metric for seeding

You’d weight the system based on tier and degree of difficulty etc, give it some time and you’d have a decent hierarchy

At least it would feel like your results in tournaments would be relevant

I think they should continue using this Proving ground stuff, it helps teams, especially if you have a bad group, and you get kicked the first day, at least meanwhile other teams continue qualifying teams that get kicked in previous days can still gain more cups and not wait for others to finish the PYS

I would enjoy CWs more, if we could play less matches and more battles against the same opponents, turning it from a bo3 or bo5 into bo7 or higher would create much more competitiveness and it would be more challenging.
If we could play more battles, we wouldn't need to create rooms, find opponents etc, because we are already in tournament rooms, playing a little bit more with the same opponent, then we could have a break of 10/15 minutes after many battles.
Most of the times, the team that wins the first battle wins the match, so getting that second win in bo3, is easier than trying your best to catch up the gap of being down 0-3/0-4.
To not mention, I even got this lucky battle as well yesterday thanks to that new system

Seem proving grounds is a really good concept and if the current format continue exist, it has a place in future aswell. Especially if only winner go forward in a luck-based seeding.
But if the current format turns into something completely new, as a league based system, then there might not be a need to keep it.

Most of the teams just ragequit, let's be honest. The average players of CWs are very young guys, most of them don't really know what it's needed to perform at top levels, or what's needed to play with their favourite top players.
The good thing is that at least on EU server the competition is increasing, even tho there are less registered teams, pretty much all of them are doing their best with their possibilities and capabilities, this is already a very promising sign.

Probably said before season yoo top 16 lets go but then realize whoopzie it is not so easy there are actually teams that know what they do. Like the clan where I am in. Some people talking about yoooo Top16 if we get a good run. I am like bro what. Top 32 alone would be higher than I personally expect with our team and for that we really need to perform as good as possible with our team + Another QQ team not wanting to play T32. Very honourable people btw. The reason for a low amount of teams isn’t them quitting, but shorter registration period, on a weekday as well. There were about 200 “being formed” this time - in pys 1, it was over 800

This rn is not about winning or losing. Of course we lost, but if you look at the overall situation, the tournament itself was quite chaotic and poorly organized.

For the first PYS, a lot of things could still be excused because it was something new, and I completely understand that. However, with PYS 2, I think the experience from the first event should have helped improve the organization.

Especially the team planning did not seem well structured. It was already clear beforehand that not enough teams had registered in time. Since there were still several hours before the tournament started, the format and organization could still have been adjusted properly.

This criticism is not meant to attack anyone personally. It is simply constructive feedback, because with better planning and communication, the whole event could have run much more smoothly.

Wargaming shouldn't be allowed to pull this. They advertised that only the top 1 from each bracket would advance, we replayed the grand finals because of their mistake, and then after we won they quietly changed the rules to let top 2 through. Under EU law (Unfair Commercial Practices Directive), this is misleading and unfair. Players put in real effort based on the original rules, and companies can't just move the goalposts after the matches are done, even if their rules say they can change things. It breaks consumer protection rules and destroys trust. i'm pretty sure this is some form of breach of main wg regs too but i'm less revised on them.
