Honestly, these changes with quick qualification of the best teams looks very good. They can save time qualifying, and the lower half of top8 teams can be decided by the teams that belong there, not whoever gets seeded vs a top4 team. We’ll see how it works out but gotta give WG credits for coming up with this

Depends if the tournament is clan only registration or not. If it is you have to be in same clan as all other team players. And you can send an application to the team in the right side after clicking on the team.
If u don’t know how to do, just ask to be invited and then team captain will send you invite which you have to accept in the notification channel on the left side of garage.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened. For our part, we never make forced updates during important events or tournaments. Sometimes the store itself can be delayed in delivering content, which apparently happened to single players. To protect yourself, it's better to check the content before the tournament (half an hour or something like that). And also check that the reserve players are ready to play as well.

If you receive an update, it is better for you to immediately write the group number and team name (BEFORE the start of the match/matches), in which case I can take a closer look and, perhaps, help. Because even now the messages came after invitations, rooms, etc.

I had zero issues but when I logged on again about 40mins prior to warmup with my team, I noticed I had an update installing. Thankfully my internet downloaded it in due time, but I can't imagine these couple examples are the only ones for IOS users.

Is it not a fair request to ask that updates / patches be delivered to the app store well in advance of the tournaments, so they're allowed time to deliver them? That way players don't have to worry about last-minute updates like what happened here.

Wotb is first and foremost a mobile game, with additional pc accessibility because $$$. All of the big $ tournaments are mobile only to keep an even playing field. I wouldn’t care if there was a pc only tournament but it shouldn’t be for money right away, certainly not in a substantial amount. @barren imp not necessarily. PC players have an overall advantage. They are using an entire arm to be able to aim, whilst mobile are restricted to a single finger. Even if the mobile player is playing using the “claw” method which itself hard to master. The hand they use to aim also needs to be able to perform other tasks such as consumables, look around bar, ect... The disparity in terms of actual skill cap will be noticeable even with the best mobile players. This is also not taking into account that this is World of Tanks Blitz which was made for mobile players in mind. At the end of the day. PC players always have the PC version of Blitz. To mobile players we have no such option. It’s the same reason other Esports categorized PC player differently to controller players, it’s because PC players simply have an advantage. This will be true in all Esports, Call of duty being a prime example.

I feel that since you're getting a 1st and 2nd placing team from each group, then it shouldn't be possible that 3 teams that have placed first in the preceding stage should not all be matched into one group. Yet it's happening for NA.
Gosu, Jkr, and Lvg have all won their groups from Stage 2 yet are all placed into one bracket for Stage 3, and Ponda and Origin, who have already faced each other in Stage 2, are matched against each other again in a separate bracket for Stage 3.

You're missing a key part of double elim tournaments, and you always have been. Bracket resets in winner's grand finals. If a team wins every match, they only have to lose the last match to be denied the chance to move on. They're playing a single elimination tournament while everyone who's already lost a match prior is playing double elim. Look at how Super Smash Bros runs their tournaments. The player from losers must win two brackets against the player from winners, because the winner needs to lose twice to be knocked out because that's what double elim means, two eliminations = removal from tournament. Wargaming has never done this, so if you're gonna run two matches where only one team has to lose once to be eliminated, then you're not running a double elim tournament. You're running double elim up until the last match, which is single elim for the people in winner's bracket. If you introduced a bracket reset mechanic for grand finals, you'd have a proper double elim tournament format. What you have now is not a double elim format. It's only 95% of the way there.
