3k is nothing nowadays even if ur not a reroll. What I mean is when people who play tournaments and know that it's gonna be based off damage then it's so easy for them to rig it in randoms since its under 5k battles. Later use that average damage to get good "seeding" or what you wanna call it.

The possible thing is to not take any stats into consideration when the certain account has below 5.5k battles

Although it’s a good idea, there isn’t really a good solution to the loophole. Assuming most rerolls have great stats, the only way you could prevent them was either account date creation or number of battles. Account date creation is just a ridiculous idea in its own realm so I don’t think I have so explain that one too much. Battles would make sense but then it would be harder for newer players to catch up with preexisting accounts.

I currently like the system where you need to have a certain amount of battles to be included, but perhaps they could raise that requirement? Maybe 5k battles?

i was more thinking of if you have less then 5k battles or a certian amount at t10 then you get a winrate penalty for seeding

because realistically there is such a small amount of players under 5k battles who qual for top 8 without the account being a reroll so it would only punish those who use rerolls for winrate seeding and could prevent things like the cpg zro bracket this season

I’m ngl, the amount of 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments has killed the qt scene and is impacting the comp scene. There is less incentive for players looking to do qts to join qt clans and play with a team now that they can just play with a friend or two. I think 2v2 and 3v3 qts are cool and all but I think they have definitely had a negative impact on the size of the comp community. 7v7 qts are the gateway to comp for many new players but now that there are options to not play on a team more often than actual qts there are less and less new players joining the comp community. 2v2 and 3v3 should be kept in the qt cycle but significantly less often especially compared to 7v7, that is, if wg wants to keep the comp community alive.

For comparison,
The first V-VI qt I played had 322 teams participate (2020)
The first VII-VIII qt I played had 147 teams participate (2020)
The first IX-X qt I played had 45 teams participate (2020)

Now in 2023 in the most recent 7v7 qts:
Tier V-VI only 28 teams participated
Tier VII-VIII only 30 teams participated
Tier IX-X only 16 teams participated

For whatever it's worth, I know a lot of the APX team and from my objective albeit incomplete perspective, they do not intend to break the rules or create unfair advantages that affect tournament outcome. Even if the violation did occur with this one player, it would be a shame to see a team I believe to be one of the best not be able to play due to one player's mistake-- honest or not. I can say without a doubt that if the team leaders knew anything about such a violation, it would not have been tolerated.

If punishments should be the course of action, I would hope that the player(s) in question receive exclusive punishment and not the team as a whole.

this same kinda thing happened with eg last season and they got disqualified and lost all cups. i don’t think the prominence and skill of the team is gonna save them if they use that same discrimination.

If 1 or 2 players broke any rules in the tournament, punishment should be held for said players and not the team, as the team could have no clue of what 1 or 2 guys are up to on their own. Now if it’s a few or more then that’s when a team should be banned. I think punishment should be for said player or 2 and nothing more. In EGs case I believe it was a few or more.
