Winter 2021 is a really long season though and I think Wargaming is aiming to have both Winter/Summer quite short, hence Money Blaster and New Way to Play, where a lot of improvements are needed to filter out the top 8 teams more accurately but in a short timeframe. Perhaps we will see more experimentation from Wargaming again as these 2 seasons are good for trying different formats.

Either way, for the majority of teams, it appears that the community would rather prefer for there to be multiple qualifier tournaments,
instead of one consolidated qualifier, as witnessed in Money Blasters and NWTP, in which a "death bracket" would hold a lot more consequential weight.

So I personally agree with the idea to make the tournaments in winter and summer relatively short. (And bring back offline!!!)

WG is perhaps doing "try not to enjoy yourself on this map" challenge when creating new ones

hellas is hella open, ghost factory has a massive factory in middile which limits quick response to a flank push, molendijk is very hilly and terrain wise unfriendly to picking tanks with low horsepower to weight ratio

well new bay is just new bay.

Well Ghost factory is really bad for public games as well, who wins the corner, wins the game not to mention one side has massive advantage in the corner as they have better positions, they are faster to get there and even from the same spawn tds have much better positions on spawn to camp
Molendijk is super bad for public as well, campy map which supports people who hate actually playing the game and moving

Ghost factory’s problem is that it sucks to have one side better than the other. Also sucks that the corner is a minuscule chokehold and that there is a huge amount of no man’s land between it and the factory. So it’s basically useless to fight for in CW.
Hellas is meh because both caps are really close to each other meaning that you are likely to control two or be brawling in that area. The medium side has one cap and it’s basically pretty useless.
I personally enjoy molen as it feels like there is still many opportunities to explore strat wise on the map.
I feel like other maps also received a lot of criticism when they went in the game and people feel better about them now.

Unless everyone wants to just play every single game on canal? Might be "balanced" or "fair," but the "fun" aspect would get tainted really quick in my opinion. I even think the maps that have one spawn advantage are cool too because that might be part of a team's strategy to split the map, or in other words go 1-1.

For example, if my team were to get a lead on a better team in a best of 5, say 2-0, whether by luck or other means, it would be fantastic to have New Bay as the next map, because even though we may concede one game on the disadvantageous North spawn, we would have an advantage on a match point in the following game on South spawn, possibly finishing the upset.

Not sure if that gets the point across but that kind of stuff can factor into match strategy rather than just individual game strategy too.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. Bad/“unfair” maps contribute to comp enjoyment as we have to adapt to the different challenges of each map. All maps with supremacy should be added in. Himmelsdorf, Ghost, and Hellas too. Why? That’s because we can see 7 German HT strat on Himmelsdorf in a professional tournament again. 😂

@sharp night I just was logged off by the game about 45 minutes ago,I was on EU C1 server with 100 to 120 ping,when I logged back on it switched me to EU C4 sever,I hadn't seen that sever before, anyhow my ping jumped to 385 plus, basically unplayable,so I went to NA

Well I'm on a pro tournament team with berty,and was having issues during the last PYS Tournaments, anyhow I've added starlink service along with my CenturyLink internet,so I know my connection is good 👍

Just got my new Samsung S8 gaming tablet and during pro tournament gonna run it stand alone on Starlink,then run discord on phone or laptop using CenturyLink,and have it so I can swap quickly if internet issues arise, with 5g mobile data as a backup,so hopefully that works well our next PYS qualifier tournaments 🤠

Well @thorn shale Starlink is expensive $110 bucks a month,and a 1 time fee of $599 a month for hardware,but worth it to us to have reliable internet even during a hurricane
