yes. It is called blind shooting. if the enemy is unspotted you can still hit them

Its possible like in WoTPC but you will know it if you have precision fire crew skill researched, then the marks will be turned on meaning you actually hit and pen them

Well the thing is that, if he blindshot a bush far away you wouldn't be able to tell that it actually hit the ground or not since its quite hard to see.

precision fire is only for the forth shot after a 3 penning shot series.

i mean not the trigger mark the 1/2/3 color marks, where it tells you how many you should shot and pen them before you can trigger the max roll.

now Im even more confused. The only time the precision fire skill icon appears on the screen is when you pen the forth shot and hit within those 35% to deal your highest damage for your selected shell type

I use it very occasionally to check if it's worth shooting a target that is at the high end of my damage roll, but under the max roll. So if I see that there's a 100hp and 470hp target and I'm using a 122 with a max roll ready I'll go for the 470hp target

Tested it out and it didn't count towards the precision fire

As you can see on the 2nd image, it didn't counted and no icon appeared, yet the third image when i shot him again this time not from a blindshot, the 1st shot i made got counted, interesting.

And also the close combat master can detect invisible tanks in Mad games and Uprising, which is impactful, for those who are aware.

My reason for liking the isu 122s is that its a teir 8 chassis, its fast, and it has good armor, and its historical because of the berlin paint. The tank has a smaller gun than the 152 but it only reloads in about 7 seconds, letting it do about 800 damage in 15 seconds.

Don't forget that ISU-122 has 90mm of frontal armor neglecting getting'ed from the Front by 152mm's

Its a nice tank but people would disagree with it since Su-122-44 can be as effective as that thing but way faster.

My thoughts on the Shermans..tier 5 Sherman is a good all rounder with alright hull armor and a real nice gun mantlet. Tier 6 Sherman is not as good, having paper armor but still having that gun mantlet, but has better mobility and a far better gun from what I've seen. Firefly is a seriously solid tank though..just play it as a second-line support med. Same with the Rev, amazing gun but kinda poor everything else at it's tier. STRV 74A2 has nice clip potential with poor pen, but its still a really nice med. M4(FL-10) has good mobility and an amazing gun (did you know it has an autoreloader now?), use it as a supporting med like the rest of the higher tier M4's. The tier 6 Jumbo was also really good, being able to meme with its great hull armor especially when angled. But the tier 5 Jumbo..well..it has less armor than the normal Tier 5 Sherman..and only really has the hitpoint advantage.

OHHH, I forgot about the TDs. Also, the M3 Lee doesnt count as a sherman since it doesnt actually have anything other than a similar 75mm to share with the Sherman. The Hellcat is super fun, though I think I enjoy it more with the 76 than the 90mm. (Jackson is also one, I play it with the 90mm and I have fun with it) Fury and Loza..uh..I don't really know what makes them special. Never seen the T6E1 in blitz before, but the Hafen has really solid armor. Uh..Ram 2 has a very noice dpm gun, pretty good. And the Y5 Firefly is alright, more like a light than a med to me.

I've never seen the Sherman V before. And..alas, that's not true. The M3 Lee was a stopgap medium tank the Americans threw into service when they first joined WW2, as the British and French lacked any real tank force (due to them having to leave them behind in Dunkirk) and needed something fast. The Lee was the Sherman's predecessor, but was not a prototype of the Sherman itself. That title goes to the T6E1.

The hull hardly changed with the exception of removing the fixed 75mm which Generally functioned as anti-infantry/anti stronghold as a howitzer device.

The 37mm mounted atop the tank was used Generally for light armor as it was quick to reload but found many issues later on with armor Penetration.

True, the hull didn't change much. However, it wasn't a prototype in my view, but a basis like you said. Not only was it pushed into production to solve the dire issue of lacking numbers of tanks within the Allied armored corps, it was a way for Americans to see what worked and what didn't.

I should check out chieftains videos when I have the free time, might be helpful for me. I've always been fascinated by how tanks developed over time

I've been beginning to construct a little universe for me to write in, and while its not exactly nessecary, I have a passion to write about armored vehicles, their development, and their effectiveness in the field. Generally I haven't touched specfic tanks in learning them yet, but mostly the overall armored front of WW2.

I sadly don't know as much on WW1's tanks, but they really don't see much of a spotlight..which is a serious shame.

I won't lie WW1 tanks are kinda boring because it's mostly the same tank with slight alterations barring the Little Willy and Big Willy projects

A lot of the low tier tanks were 1925+ in terms of year

It really wasn't until a few years after that nations started taking interest in armored vehicles

I honestly wouldn't agree. I think the Renault FT at the very least should be honoured as the father of the modern tank style, compared to the British Willies. It's an interesting study to see how practically every single nation tried to copy the FT after it's stunning success in WW1. The Willies bear mentioning and studying, and the Tsar Tank is a giant meme. I'm not sure on this, but I've heard there was at least one German tank in WW1 as well, but I need to verify that. I'd also argue that the early tank development of the Russians bears special mention, and I would love to find out how the idea of a tank destroyer developed post-WW1 in the early years..same with self propelled artillery. (I'm calling it self propelled artillery because the term 'self propelled gun' is kinda iffy, sometimes it means artillery, sometimes it means some sort of tank destroyer or assault gun)

The M3 was produced in mass quantities because of the British need for a lot of tanks , a bigger gun than the M2, and replaced the M2. The US had only M2 type tanks in the inventory in 1939 and only 400 at that. The M3 was replaced by the M4 Sherman as soon as they became available. The US had to play a lot of catch-up. Wikipedia 😏.

Usually the Stuart was not really meant to deal with enemy tanks past it's prime (basically it's inception), it more served as a more heavily armored scouting vehicle or infantry support vehicle. The M2 was designed a lot earlier and was designed for fighting tanks like a PZ I or II, maybe even a PZ III. For it's time the M2's gun would have been serviceable
