I mean I get wanting to color outside the lines and I don't have a problem with it, but if I do that as a tank, I don't stay there for very long I don't sit in one bush the entire game like a destroyer.

I can understand when it strategically makes sense to briefly take a destroyer position and snipe a few tanks because they have the edge in being able to spot you and destroy you quickly if you make yourself seen, yeah I get that. That makes sense. But when somebody is in a tank the entire game and making no effort to so much as move... Yeah I got a problem with that. You need to be out there spotting, creating a front line, creating an offense, pushing the enemy back, etc.

I use a lot of destroyers and I can't do my job if the rest of my team isn't out there marking enemies for me.

Even more thoughtless is when I'm trying to assist the front line, but they won't let me move as a destroyer. They keep blocking me, they get up right behind me and don't let me move back so I don't get hit. I've literally been destroyed countless times because of thoughtless allies who won't let me move.

The other sensible part of this argument is that some tanks are really really really good at sniping. Even though they're not a destroyer, they are just really good at it. A good example of that is the Chimera or Rev. Both great at multitasking between being a medium tank and sniping from a distance. Both are very good at that.

All these tanks have different strengths and weaknesses, and sometimes those strengths line up with the strengths of a destroyer. Just because a medium tank is a medium tank, doesn't mean it's the same as all medium tanks.

I have a few heavy tanks that are very very good at sniping.

And if we don't have any destroyers, I'll fall back behind the front line and assist by providing some long distance cover.
