Every battle you do, you gain XP for your tank right? Now, a small portion of the XP you gain from a battle goes towards these crew skills

You can see each group of crew skills is specific to Light tanks, heavy tanks etc.
All this means is that if you drive a light tank for example, you’ll progress XP towards whichever light tank skill you choose to focus on

However, every skill you learn and upgrade applies to ALL tanks.
So the light tank skills, for example, will also apply to your heavies, mediums, tank destroyers.
But to get XP to upgrade a light tank skill, you need to drive a light tank

Yeah they’re permanent buffs but they are applied to any tank you play.

But you need to progress the skills by driving a specific tank type in battle. Winning gives you more XP so yeah ideally you win, but you get some on loss too

for specific skills, I forget the names, but the ones I’d go for first to upgrading are:

• The light tank skill with the exclamation mark (whatever its called). It gives you a better chance to roll for max damage

• The tank destroyer skill that improves camouflage. Fully upgraded, your camo is like 21% better which is significant

But also keep in mind that Reforge (the next big step for blitz) is in development. No idea when reforge will release, probably still several months out, but basically Reforge is overhauling crew skills and replacing them with commanders. So this skill system won’t be staying for too long at this point @tepid pagoda

Highest alpha damage out of the T10 meds and tungsten on top. Great aimtime and accuracy, decent armor, good mobility.
The only things you should know is that it's very inaccurate while on the move and doesn't have good dpm for a T10 med.

in my opinion, a 30kg high explosive shell can butter through most targets of its time, since this gun saw action in 1942, 28kg for specifically an armor piercing shell is very good

much on the faultiness and unreliability of these tanks was mostly propaganda turned skewed as it usually is

apperantly the biggest issue for terrible outcomes on these tanks was inadequate drivers, there is even an entire manual only for the driver of these tanks, drivers were at times poorly suited for their rolls, they had one of the most cramped parts of the tank, taking most of the brunt at times as enemies focused on them, this caused excessive movements and manuevres. with a good calm driver, these tanks can go for a long time, maintainace must be checked at times like any tank

in truth yeah actually they are, too much misses in actual translations or plain bias and utter propaganda made these vehicles seem bad in a maneuvre warfare invironment, now dont get me wrong, a vehicle like this shouldnt move too much too often, but it could, thats the point, it was not this heavy burden of a machine like most say, it didnt just breakdown uncontrolably and at times indefinitely, most problems were incomplete maintainance tasks, bad drivers, and sure exsessive use of the engine itself, by excessive the tanks would need to travel several dozens of kilometers under their own power, in a rush and ye.. if the tank is driven calmly under any scenarios, if the tank is given its maintainace tasks like any tank should, if the tank isnt used as some lightweight recon tank or agressive medium tank, it will prolong itself on the battlefield

Like Smasher is one of the most sought after tanks for most people but for me it has absolutely zero value to me and I sell it immediately every time I get it because I’ll never use it even though everyone would say keep it, if people tell you to keep action X but you don’t ever use it is it worth keeping? Kv5 got stealth buffed over the years, its front weakspot is literally a deception

KV-5 is very goofy at this point, you can kinda yolo in due to the side armor being quite strong and just do whatever you want to enemy teams who can’t run away since KV-5 has a high top speed. The gun is good enough to get reasonable damage output as well

It’s also helped by armor highlighting not working properly due to WG reasons and such

I just realized that there is only one path of tanks from Sweden, and legit only ONE Finnish tank in the game

were there really not any other Finnish tanks? or are the others not in the eras that WOTB uses?

There exists two other (original) Finnish tanks that we know of
-the iconic BT-42 (a finnish built turret on the BT-7 hull with a big howitzer gun)
-and a comet (tank they purchased) intended to be upgunned (with I believe a new Finnish turret) with the charioteer gun passed down from their charioteers they wanted to also upgun (but i believe it’d use the same turret) but Britain didn’t sell them the charioteer upgrade gun so these comets never got the charioteer leftover guns

And there may be concepts that we do not know of
There are also plenty of Finnish modifications made to tanks but usually not ones that warrant being their own separate tank
And there is also the idea of wargaming making up their own tank line for Finland since most of EU is made up because they also lack enough tanks

People have designed their own fake tanks for Finland in the way that wargaming makes up fakes for this game (most of EU tech trees are made up so why can’t Finland get one too?) and I think they’re extremely cool as long as they make them realistic, (using pieces of real Finnish history and imagining what theyd likely do if they did design tanks back then) and make sure to inform players that they aren’t actual tank concepts

I used to hate fake tanks but now I’ve started to like and respect the idea but still have a big problem with the fact they do not give any indication which tanks are ones they made up and which are just really obscure concepts, and spread misinformation saying their tanks “existed only in blueprints” but using that same description on tanks that actually did exist only in blueprints

Like few fake Finnish tanks I’ve seen go off of the one tank we did make, BT-42 and make it also a lightly armored tank with a big boxy turret and a huge gun
But I’ve also seen other ones like “what if they copied the Soviet tanks they were so used to fighting” or “what if they used a combination of soviet, German and Swedish design to create their own original ideas out of that” (Soviet tanks they fought, purchased German, and Sweden is their next door neighbor and a major tank producer)

Like this one is my absolute favorite made up Finnish tank that I’ve seen PSV-60 it’s basically what i described up there, making a tier 10 Cold War style tank that has the traits of BT-42

Development of the CCL X1 started in the 1970s to upgrade Brazil's obsolete M3 Stuart tanks. The primary upgrade was to the main gun, given a much bigger gun, but the X1 was also given a more powerful engine. None of the 52 produced saw combat, and in the 80s and 90s, they were phased out by imported M41 Bulldogs.

In WoTB, The Stuart X1 is notable for one thing: it's massive 90mm gun. This gun has the firepower of most 90mm guns at tier 6, but lacks the penetration and dpm to deal with bigger tanks 1 on 1. It has a better engine than it's forefather, the M3 Stuart, and with the better consumables at tier 7, it can be much more mobile than the M3 too. As expected of a Stuart, both it's armor and hp is abysmal, and should not be out in the open at any point.

The E3 is more effective as a normal TD, while the Turtle is more like a second-line heavy tank. The weakspots on the Turtle are very troll, as from the front it's very easy to whiff prammo against the mantlet or random angles, and the trackwheels are weird due to the overshoot. You'll be doing a lot of poking in the Turtle from medium-close range, beating other tanks by raw alpha.

The E3 is more flexible over terrain, and on paper is faster. But the Turtle has vastly superior traverse, and the DPM is more brawl-poke oriented

and funny enough, I've been decimating Badgers lately. The Badger is better over terrain, but in flat poke, it kinda gets smoked by the Turtle

So I have a question about vehicle restoration and those tanks that are not viewable in my garage if they were sold past 3 months let alone a couple years ago.

The last time I used the VRT through the website, it had a list of tanks that I had sold in my account at any given point throughout my time playing, yet tanks that I had in my account currently were also listed even though they had been restored. My question is is there a way to filter what tanks I do not have in my account at present, and see whether or not the tanks had been sold for gold or credits?

Tanks (collectors) restored through site tickets will always be gold regardless of if you sold them for credits

Yeah I was surprised how good Ritter is
I got it and was going to sell it because I thought “why play this when I can play the tech tree one” but then found out it’s just flat out better than WT (using the 12.8, tech tree has the 15 while Ritter doesnt)
And the crucial piece, the design is pretty cool, if I don’t like the design of something I’m not gonna use it even if it’s good (usually fantasy unrealistic)

Ritters color scheme is simple and cool black red grey with just a sword decal
