Leo 1 has so much more DPM than the 4202. And he has HEAT ammo.

4202's main issue is that you rely on HESH to have any decent damage output, but HESH is flawed in that it needs to be used on the sides of tanks, which tend to be covered in tracks and spaced armor. And 4202's relatively poor accuracy for a tier 10 med makes hitting shots super inconsistent

It has a 115mm on the production T-62. However, we have the prototype with the 100mm because the 115mm is a smoothbore.

The unofficial rules for inclusion in this game are 1. No smoothbore guns, and 2. No composite armor.

Even on the Chieftain/T95 (tier 8 heavy), which technically was a smoothbore IRL, WG cheated and changed the gun name in the garage to say “(rifled)”

If you give it hull armour then you're turning it into an IS7 - I don't want that. Playing like a med is not an answer, especially given the state of the MM.

I try to run with the meds, as a heavium. But that puts team down a heavy at times, and i cant always run the flank with meds. Holding the line as a heavy with 260 will fall apart quickly

sounds like we play similarly, i have that problem aswell, if i play my heaviums as more of a medium roll my heavies often follow and get out maneuvered, or they struggle to hold the frontline. playing a heavy role is okay but not ideal and being out powered is likely.

I will say though the 1b and 113 can hold the frontline and i woudlnt say theyre heaviums but are decent in that area

Well the Chieftain has ok speed along with 1B for a support a failing med flank. But true heavium like the E6 or Obj 260 no issue pushing that med flank. Where the Obj 260 suffers is why play that tank when other tanks in its class have more to offer. If it had close to E6 dep then you have an equal choice of what to play

If you want a good off meta heavy line, French heavies are fun. Speed around the battlefield at 50km/h and trade shots with people.

It's really not, you just need to know where to shoot it. As I recall the turret cheeks on either side of the gun aren't that well armored. I think that's where I usually shoot them.

I would go back to a lower tier (below 5) learn the basics and the maps first. You are never not going to get shredded in tier x if you don’t know these things. Not trying to be mean, but if you’re getting less than 1k damage per round in tier x, you obviously don’t belong there. On the upper end, you can get 10k damage in tier X, so averaging less than 1k is basically like you weren’t there for your team. Would also recommend switching to something beside lights so you have an understanding of how those vehicles run in game. Keep to low depressions in the terrain when using Soviet lights, like a snake in the grass. Best of luck

Unless you get every tier 9 before tier 10, I don't see how you would know every position on every map. Even then that's a tall ask. The issue with that is that unlike every other light, the chinese lights basically have no chance in hell at sniping at range and doing proper long range support because of them using APCR as standard.

And the benefit of using APCR over standard is completely negated by the fact that everything that got it's ammo changed to AP kept it's APCR shell velocity.

So they literally just have extra bad pen because of APCR.

It's not bad

But to me it's just another tank. I don't feel much difference between t-62, obj140, 907, t-22, 121b, wz-121, etc there is like 20 tanks with the same play style
