The idea is you build up your 10 stacks of BLB. Then you pull out something like a grenade or foam for 30 seconds, which lets you charge your DCH, but you'll still keep your BLB stacks. Put whatever you were using to build stacks away, and hotswap to a regulus. This counts as switching weapons for the BLB, and lets you use that masssive BLB damage boost on a DCH+regulus shot. Combine that with an achilles (generally getting OC from a teammate) and some group buff like FI and sledgehammer, and you can reach the 1 billion damage cap

Should I do the raids before I attempt the incursion? Do ppl still take newbs into raids, and if so what kind of build is recommended? Thanks

just based off my experience i’m no expert, but i would focus on a healer and a dps build, striker is what i use(yes it’s basic) but it’s easy to use and you can pair just about any gun with it. healer is what most people want in a group normally every is running dps so having a healer build on standby will be very helpful. and i had a group run me through my first raid about a week ago and got EB first try, but to answer the question, yes people still help and the new incursion isn’t bad if you have a solid build

Reading through your comments and the responses, it seems you have the Zova glitch where she doesn't go into her trailer while you are in the tunnel under the train to set off mortars. Someone already suggested wiping, and that didn't work for you. If you're trying Zova from a check point, you might need to reset and just start over.

After phase 1 when she initially junps down from inside the train, she's not going to her trailer, you might not be completing her damage phase? After phase 1 when she jumps from the train, you have to bring down her health enough to make her go hide in her trailer and mortar you. (This is whether you do Faraday or full mechanics)

I've seen it a time or two on PS (also a frequent IH flyer). I'm not sure what the source of the glitch is or why wiping doesn't help. Games just be imperfect sometimes. 🤷‍♀️

Some have noted that avoiding applying status effects to Zova (specifically shock from Scorpio or St. Elmo's) nakes her less inclined to glitch. Foaming her is fine since it's commonly done for Faraday to send her to her trailer quickly. But there's just something about shocking her that might be particularly upsetting to her.

1. Traditionally (i.e. even the ancient speed strategy before Nego and sniping) the main weapon is M1A, hence also better having the Fox’s Prayer. Often you only see a preference to AR on the 3rd boss IH only (which ideally should still be a backup after the Regulus)
2. Apart from what Raucey said, the damage to armor and targets out of cover are non-stochastic, meaning there is less variability than to depend on the crit. Except for Nego strategies these days, since you have to crit, you generally want damage types that are predictable (some people/groups even raided with Walker & Harris during the early days)

There's also another bug our group found with boss 3 (Williams) in IH when he's supposed to go up to the turrets, he stays on the bottom floor immune and stands there. Wiping didn't help or resetting. Unsure any other groups have encountered this or we were just unlucky three wipes in a row

My response was pertinent to what you were describing about solo content. Strikers is good both inside and outside the raids. Someone already gave you the common Strikers raid build. You can take that strikers build, play around with it, and have a lot of success in open world end game

There's also a spreadsheet pinned in #td2-build-advice that covers most of the common builds in the game, including raid metas

hi, just a question regarding iron horse if anyone could help me out
a friend explained most of the strategy on how to oneshot gray (he triple stacks ravenous blue primers on the shield guys, marks them and the boss with ND then shoots a weakpoint on a heavy gunner) but i'm not sure how the damage on the heavy gunner transfers to the shield guys and gray if the gunner isn't marked with ND as well? do the shield enemies naturally take damage dealt from all enemies or something?

This only works on a crit, so if your shot on the gunners helmet happens to be a crit, it will add the mark and transfer the crit dmg.

So if you don't crit, you won't transfer any damage.

If you want to kill all the shield guys by yourself (along with gray), you need to wear the negotiatiors chest aswell, to be able to mark everything.

i think the reason meta/best builds are recommended is also as a safety net in case things start going wrong. just as an example, i recently cleared incursion with 3 people and no healer (random matchmaking, our 4th dropped). so like... it's possible to clear stuff with less than optimal setups but it still increases the chances of a wipe.

so if everyone goes with recommended stuff (or somewhere close it) then it makes up for bad things happening

only thing you get from doing Discovery Raids would be certain coms, for example you can do both Blue Bear and also Gingerbread men coms using the Discovery modes plus Dark Hours has a com for completing it in Discovery. Other than that its a waste of your time both can be done with 2 or 3 players and there is so much not included with regards to mechanics.

Guys, do the Raid Bosses only have 1% drop chance for Ravenous/EB once a week or everytime you kill them like it is in Incursions?

I think it's alot easier in the Incursion compared to raid not sure of percentage, all I know is I've got around 4 Ouroboros in like 20 clears from bosses compared to Zero drops from like 2k raid clears across both raids

I think you can still get Ouroboros from bosses continuously in the same week, where in the Raid I think it's just once you can get the chance from bosses, I might be wrong though.

Well Iron Horse is for the Ravenous and Regulus and Dark Hours is Eagle. Anyways just run a dps build. Striker is fine for DH but its preffered to run an standard High End DPS build w/ unbreakable for Iron Horse.

Varies a lot. There are some known (infamous?) groups that will say “wear whatever you want”, but this obviously only works well if 6–7 players are on point, and 1–2 are being so-called “carried.” So from the perspective of the new player, it depends on the group.
Generally raid can be difficult if < 6, i.e. closer to half being inexperienced or have less helpful builds. Sometimes you can succeed with 4 or more inexperienced, but all of those instances I encountered are those curious groups with no raid experience, but are essentially raid-ready, both from build and play style (that contributes to their TTK).

The “how optimized” is not really. I know of instances where player with SHD < 1000 (and usually experience from another platform) can speed-run successfully. Generally you do not have to go after the very last bit of crit, so you can live with decent but not “god” rolls from Countdown (i.e. even speed-running). Proficiency is also absolutely not an issue in casual settings, at least. Bear in mind that people managed to get through raid in decent time, even when there was no optimization and no proficiency levels in the game.

More important than absolutely best rolls is the correct combination of gear brands that gives you damage/crit, and the correct talents (e.g. Vigilance). And again, this is for how to gear the team, not necessarily the one player that can be carried by an experienced group.

I haven't played on Xbox, but I've played on PC and PSN and each platform has slightly different call outs and slightly different strats, but overall things are mostly the same.

Tarmac was quite different so far

For example we normally do group 1 left group 2 right and I saw no mention of it

Normally a great group you will have 4 dps 2 tips with tac 50 and an oxi and healer

For tarmac lfgs will generally just kill things without much coordination. But if you want to coordinate then oxys on certain locations is definitely quicker.

Like how often people nego boomer? Just your typical 4p.with the backpack. Tbh I don't see many people utilizing diamondback, but imo that's the ideal weapon for that. Perfect glass, and then last piece depends on what else your doing.

You just have the raid leader invite you through uplay, not in game, while your on the character select screen. You'll see the invite notification, login to HC, then accept it

They wiped the leaderboard for Iron Horse on Playstation but you can't register a new time unless you beat your old time, which is pretty much impossible for older players because they let Iron Horse be bugged for 3 years with open doors, also why did they only reset one raid?

This is a bit of a dumb question, But how easy is the estate raid on normal, I normally play my world difficulty and countdowns on Challenging, Will it feel roughly the same as that? I'm just wanting to try and get the Oro.

It will be more difficult than challenging though

hello all, I was hoping someone could give me one of the old ELI5 answers to a question about the incursion paradise lost

can anyone point me towards an explanation of the mechanics to the drones that heal the lovebirds? I understand you need to kill the drone while it's moving to the target but once it gets there it's immune and so is the boss, do you just switch to the other boss and kill the drone when it attempts to go there? thanks for the help

Whichever boss its on is immune, as well as a little bubble around the drone as well, so nearby ads or even both bosses can be immune if they are close enough. Damaging the boss thats not being protected by the drone will cause the drone to swap when youve done 1 bar of damage to the boss. While the drone is switching your able to damage/destroy it and start the damage phase on the bosses

For your first time on Dark Hours, I'd probably suggest a red dps setup. The idea is to just point and kill ASAP.
as people are fond of saying, "Dark Hours is a DPS check".

Iron Horse is a little more complicated.
