I mean the timeline events starts from one police plaza aka precinct mission in Brooklyn but the order for doing the missions seems open to choice

Battle for Brooklyn's missions are linear in terms of order of doing them.

Which is what I liked about the campaign.

there is no order iirc, u got some levels for missions but devs wanted players to play the story in the order they wanted so nothing is set, its just happenning more or less at the same time, not with the same agents necesseraly

Makes sense in a way, so this is my take on the time line are :

• We secure the precinct in One Police Plaza first
• We then secure the Post Office and established the BoO
• Madison Square Garden now a field hospital is then liberated from the rioters and Kandel is rescued
• We then rescue Rhodes from the Subway Morgue and eliminate the cleaners present there
• We then recruit Benitez along with protecting the Lincoln tunnel checkpoint from being blown up by the rioters
• We then run errands for Kandel on her research for the virus by first protecting the survivors from the cleaners at the Hudson Refugee Camp
• Then we go to Broadway Emporium to find the origin of the virus before the cleaners burn the place down
• From there we learnt that Gordon Amherst is the one who made the virus and we secure his apartment from the hostile cleaners
• After that we cut off one of the snakes head by going after Joe Ferro who's holed up at the Napalm Production Site and disrupt the cleaners and killed their leadership
• Power goes off at the BoO, and we head to Times Square to fix it where we encounter the Rikers for the first time

• The Rikers obviously pissed take control of WarrenGate power plant and are about to cause a city wide blackout before we secure it and eliminate the lieutenant there
• Rhodes then asks us to secure a rooftop comm relay to eavesdrop all the factions comms
• We go after the second head of the snake by eliminating Larae Barrett at the Lexington Event Center disrupting the Rikers leadership
• From the comms we picked up, we go to the Police Academy where we encounter LMB for the first time along with a Rogue Agent, while discovering thr alliance between Keener and the LMB
• Kandel then sends us to rescue Vitaly Tcherneko from thr Russian Consulate before the LMB reach to him but we were late and Keener kidnapped him
• We then assault the stronghold at Queens Tunnel camp and drive back the LMB forces
• After queens we secure the last FOB at Grand Central Station from the LMB
• We finally deal the victory blow by defeating the LMB and killing their leader Charles Bliss at the United Nations headquarters

||In that recording, two Hyenas are inside the building, trying to gather resources from some supposed meth cooking lab||

||However, a barrel of sorts falls to the ground, leaking something. The Hyena pair get away from it, with the male Hyena being a conspiracy nutjob who believes what's inside the barrel gives Chemtrails.||

||His friend, on the other hand, is very amused by his nonsense, deciding instead to leave the building and find the others.||

||After that recording, the Black Tusk analyst suggests increasing patrols in Downtown East, while making a comment about the sorry state of America education system.||

||Awkwardly enough, the analyst's recording device catches his comment, leading him to end his recording trying in vain to remove that comment.||

Manhunt: Rise Up - Comm#11 - BTSU Intel File: Fuel for the Fire

||A Black Tusk analyst plays a recording relating to an unknown threat running around the West End.||

||In that recording, two Outcasts witness a person, thinking of them as a clown, since they saw em wearing something that looked like garbage.||

||Unfortunately for those two Outcasts, that mystery person has a flamer, and uses them to burn them to a crisp, with the recording ending in that person's muffled breathing.||

||In that regard, the analyst suggests not letting any Black Tusk soldier go to West End by their lonesome.||

We also know that Sokolova and Cal will be around for a lot longer going from the Hunted novel so they're probably gonna be left for div 3 at the very least

The first Division game was hated because people thought it was a survival shooter. It was also heavily marketed as something it wasn't, and people hated Ubi for it.
Additionally, Ubisoft has a history of downgrading their games after showcasing them in places like E3. But ofc, Ubi was not the only publisher that did this... But it became a meme.

I think the Division franchise found its audience after the initial hate settled though.

if you hover over the sidequest they'll say which sidequest it is, but hostage rescue sounds like the execution thing, which is a random event
