Find a good clan to join that you can run with. It helps if you're in voice with everyone so they can help coordinate. You might try running healer so you don't need high DPS -- just healing.

Yeah, thought you might be, but was hoping. Again, look for good clan in-game. A clan can make all the difference. We've helped a lot of n00bs get leveled up and exotic drops. Hell, I drop exotics for anyone under shade 1K just to be nice. 😄

Exotics are good. A good build can help beyond the 1K level boosts. Get a good Refactor build going and run turret/drone. You will always heal the group (and yourself) while doing decent damage. The capacitor is best weapon for that for the amplified damage. And you don't die much as you're not getting all the agro. 😄

Good goal. Do you watch YouTube videos for builds? I don't generally follow the builds themselves, but they do give me some good ideas. I'm running a tipping scale build (non prototype) that's giving me about 1.1M/tick without the current damage boost using the Pestilence LMG. It's fun to watch it kill people without having to waste ammo. 😄

I have vision issues. Have almost always run a skill build with turret/drone or banshee/foam. Can't snipe to save my life and have to go for body shots with anything I shoot. That's why I like the tipping scales and pestilence build. Don't have to headshot as the pesty tick damage spread is to die for. 😄

Okay so I did some testing
I started at 354 points, and after doing a propaganda broadcast (awards 255 seasonal xp), I THOUGHT it would end up at 609 points
But the event pass actually went up to 405 points, meaning I only gained 51 points

I dont know the exact math here but i'm pretty sure the ratio between seasonal xp and event pass points are not 1:1

seasonal usually have a 10% boost if you have modifiers active and another 10% for premium

and we have x5 seasonal active

which is not event, if you are already at season lv100 the x5 is also disabled so values look normal again

i think capitol on challegning gives around 500 seasonal but 451 event

Btw rivs, I just tested it out, it should give only season xp from CPs, but for some reason the season/event XP is not being given while on retaliation. It might be a bug because the CP captured notification shows season xp but it's not counting.

hmm, there's an option to disable combat roll for movement key doubetaps. I always keep that off.

Then I keep enter cover on long press on to prevent accidental cover movements

same with movement to exit cover off

there isn't such an option but there's a setting to "enter cover on long press". it helps whenever you're trying to roll but you don't want to get caught in cover due to the game thinking you want to take cover on the first tap of the button

i recommend turning it on and practice, in the long run it'll help you

I was told last night you don’t want paradox on your gear for mk46 frenzy it messes with talent - but I have paradox on 1 piece and when it procs with paradox about every 3/4 times it is insane ! Frenzy lasts for way way longer - is it a bug or does this guy not know what he on about ?

if it procs on the last bullet it stops the auto reload on empty, plus frenzy lasts for 9 seconds so ideally you want to empty your mag within that

One of the hardest things to farm in the game. Retaliation, legendary summit floor 10. But the grind is so miserable that I don't think it's worth it chasing 1-2%. Just play the game and you will get them in time.

You don't keep progress from the PTS to the main game, it's a separate thing that just copies over your charater, basically.

So you can delete stuff in the PTS, and it won't affect your actual game at all.

Depends a bit, if you only do the absolute 100% "best/efficient" meta farms, probably not. I personally like to shake it up and play all kinds of content, because I find enjoyment more important than being hyper efficient

You can do all kinds of wacky builds when playing most content, but for the absolute high end or group dependent stuff, ppl understandably want you to use meta builds most of the time

Summit (the tower) is still in the game, but it's fairly outdated, not many ppl run it these days (I do occasionally to shake things up).

Open world activities are still a thing, and there is a newer game mode called "retaliation", which basically has you go through a whole district of the open world, asking you to liberate every control point with a bit of time pressure

You still get a ton of loot, and it can be overwhelming when starting out, but once you get a better understanding of what's good and bad and you know what you're actually looking for, it becomes second nature

Watch out for other things that affect damage, like the global event. Test carefully, ideally by comparing identical builds in identical circumstances with only the augment changed (maybe use a weapon with it and switch between that and a different weapon). Personally I'm very doubtful it'll work as I've never heard of seekers working for the 'grenade kill' type challenges in global events.

Even then, I would play it constantly if it wasn't for the fact that the game has barely any new content since that same expansion. Seasons are even worst than destiny 2, asking you to play LITERALLY the same activities, not just "similar" ones, and while the only only incursion that is present is really good, 8 players got the 2 raids in the game is borderline impossible to find and coordinate. Not that it matters, there's like 3 pieces of equipment unique to them, since TD1 Y2 incursions/rauds have no unique drops except cosmetic/occasional okay exotic. Which is a shame cuz most of the game is extremely fun and addicting, but there really is too little content. "
