For a headshot build, it can be very effective, it’s not easy to compare the two when they’re so different in playstyle most of the time

Chameleon just isn't consistent to be something you'd want to take as your main weapon. As for bighorn, that is more used as a PVP weapon. If you build a high end crit build with Bighorn, it can hit for incredibly high numbers. Nearly 2m+ crits

Agreed 💯 that's one of the biggest reasons why I stopped pvp entirely. The need for expertise just got higher and higher. Now we have 30 whole expertise. 2 whole damage cores on an all blue build (expertise 30 weapon). Meanwhile I can wear an identical build and hit identical shots and still lose because I use no expertise on it. It's clownish I hate it

I think a feature like expertise should really be excluded from pvp modes, there’s already an expectation for newer players getting owned, but to make it so they get an extra (max of) 30% boost to armor per piece or 30% more damage is kind of bogus to even anyone that hasn’t been playing for incredibly long

#td2-build-advice also, try the likes of striker, hunters fury, kingbreaker which are dps focused. Skill builds using pieces like hard wired etc. You could always check YouTube for the best 5/10 builds as everyone's playstyle is different.

It's good for breaking chungus helmets or quickly building hh stacks when you've only got elites to play with I think, tbh this isn't a build I'm an expert in, you want dien or someone to give the nitty gritty.

Keep one spare for easy rerolling if you don't want to risk your main one, deconstruct others if you don't think you'll want them on a different character.
Deconstructing gives exotic components, which you'll want in large quantities in late endgame as you work on expertise.

To answer your question, Protection from Elites mods are nice, but other than that I'm not sure. I personally hang on to 3 of the best ones i get

Just whatever the best rolls you find are: In the case of an item that had a max core, max attribute and a talent that you didn't already have in your library I guess you'd pick attribute first (rarest), then core, then talent (most common). In practice you'll likely only find one of them on an item at a time though.

There are several builds depending upon how you want to run it. Hunters fury can work, as can striker. Do check what it does. You can mitigate the talent with hazpro. The mask from brooklyn can help also. It is powerful when used right. Takes practise

You can only share loot with others that dropped in your session while playing together. The time limit to share is 60 minutes

You can share five items at once, the other player/s need to pick them up for you to be able to drop more. Sometimes it bugs out with less than five, just walk a few steps away and drop again until it's max. five items

Main missions are the "campaign" missions. They tell the story, but there isn't a strict order to do them in.

They're the light blue hexagonal icons on the map.

Side missions are pentagonal shape and can only be completed once whereas main missions are repeatable.

All guns in the game are mostly viable. The balance between them is generally good. What really matters is your build, but don't worry about that for now. Get to Lv. 40 first then worry about building your character. Any gear not Lv. 40 is essentially useless.

The fundamentals right now is Red Core Attributes = more DMG, Blue Core Attributes = more Armor, Skill Tier = stronger, more effective Skills.

The only thing I will note is that Armor is a noob trap. It doesn't really help lategame and is mostly beneficial in shield builds. The damage you take on harder difficulties such as Heroic and Legendary essentially makes Armor rolls useless without a shield.

Just started playing recently. Bought a Gold version of the game.
What are the key differences in playing the game from 40 level and playing the game from the 1st level and doing ALL the missions?

By not boosting you experience the story (complete with cutscenes and side missions missing from the endgame) and get introduced to the game skills, enemy types and mechanics a few at a time in a relatively low stress environment.
Iirc there's also a few achievements you can't get if you boost.

IMO you get more of a sense of story-based progress too, helping out the settlements and seeing their improvements

After lvl 40 you're repeating stuff (main missions and open world) but everything stays basically the same except your own character, getting stronger and taking on higher difficulty content.

All exotic blueprints available (doesn't include content-locked ones like eagle bearer) are obtained by doing retaliations, scroll down to the bottom of the crafting table to find them and it'll tell you which faction you need

Thanks! I have 2 characters now. 1st is 40+ with green striker's set and I was using him to play with friends. The 2nd one is just for doing story and all the missions. And now I'm considerisng to switch to 2nd character completely. During the main story line you get blueprints and other stuff which is not available(as it seems to me) if you just start the game as a 40 lvl character

If you boost you get all those blueprints automatically, although you still need to actually craft the weapon attachments on each character separately.

Question about the library and optimization, the stats that you extract and add there are essentially your "knowledge" on that stat and if you have a stat on a piece of gear with say 9% HS DMG but you have 10% in your library, that means you can then optimise the stat to increase it further? But you don't lose your library when doing this so my goal is to just find gear pieces with max stats in category's for each armor piece?

By going to NY you auto-completed the full DC story including the invasion.
You can go back and redo whichever invaded missions/stronghold happen to be part of the current week's invasion, but it isn't necessary to progress the story for you and it'll reset/change every week anyway.

It always annoyed me how they forced auto completion of missions. I still see people to this day at shd 1000+ picking up coms on base DC missions because they boosted and completely ignored the story/progression loop
