Hit level 40 , haven’t cleared out my map yet , should I change global difficulty and reset my map? Main question is - does changing global difficulty affect quality of targeted loot on the map since that’s what I’m gonna go for

Higher difficulties give higher average stat rolls on loot, more xp, and if you go challenging or higher you stop getting purple loot and also get blueprints from control points

I wouldn't worry about trying to keep all your control points green, you get more activities and stuff to do if they're red (although next season there are season modifier bonuses that improve the more cps you control)

countdown is the best loot farm generally - pick your choice of target loot and matchmake on challenging difficulty. Don't bring a skill build (hunters will hack your skills and use them against you) and just follow your team

You can skip straight to level 40, and just farm builds

I'm newish to the game and I've been picking up yellow chem launcher mods only for them to just... not appear in my inventory at all. Is this a bug or something or is it a recipe or am I missing something? Google hasn't helped

It's the Sticky Payload? mod I picked up, and it's been twice now.

Lower levelled pr less experienced players should concentrate on completing the objectives. That means the more experienced can concentrate on mowing everything down.

i'm currently trying to complete scout 12 to get the tinkerer's mask and the first objective is to strike back at the black tusk's invasion but the invasions are missing on my map. I've replayed the tidal basin mission twice and even reset the map and went through on different main missions changing the difficulty to try to cause them to be invaded. I have all 5 directives on and challenging difficulty. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

@real zodiac IIRC look to the side of where you're standing, there's a generator somewhere that lets you lower the water.
There's a few instances of that around the game maps, try to look around and see how you can reach it.

There is no reason not to max it out.

You can get so many points for it in a single day from the bounties/invaded missions/projects alone, and that's not even counting the points you get from each SHD level-up with it active.

So, Journey is telling you to activate Global Modifiers, which this season has one called Hard-Core. It's not a Passive modifier nor Hostile. So just go to your brick and press whatever key it is to "Activate Modifiers"

Then after you activate them, you have to finish the assigned task

Hey all, ques on the shooting range and accuracy of numbers

So I wanted to test the skill dmg numbers on overcharge. It should be like a 50% skill dmg increase but it only shows myb half of that at the shoot range . Curious if range numbers aren't accurate or myb it wouldnt be the 50% Increase In gameplay either. Thoughts anyone ?

It's additive to other sources of skill damage as opposed to just straight up being 50 percent more damage

just to give a realistic expectation of overcharge tho. when i use mortar and its fully stacked , its around 10mil.. fully stacked on a btsu overcharge is around 13mil. this is including perfect glass, perfect combined arms, fully stacked capacitor

How do I increase my expertise level? I keep trying to donate junk and it leaves my inventory but I get no level progress

each weapon/named item is 20 donations per proficient. brand and gearsets are 100 donations per proficient . youll see the small ##/## tick up here and there as you add stuff

its a slow process

as an example, all weapons proficient with 0 usage would take somewhere in the ballpark of 5800 individual items donated (20 each model)

@sweet current It sounds like a lot, but it's not meant to be done instantly, and Countdown will put you a fair way towards that total anyway.
Luckily for you, adding Expertise to armour is useless, so just focus on the small amount of a bonus you get from adding it to guns instead.

gear and brandset donations are a little less that the entire weapons category, plus you have 6 types of gear that all contribute to the donations. it evens out in the end, tbh.
just dont think about skills or spec weapons as its all usage or materials with no loot to easily donate

That's honestly the best way to handle it. Just do it as a background thing and it'll be done before you realise.

Rivens says the truth. Don't obsess over it. I never chased it and I'm expertise 15 by just donating junk. It doesn't boost you that much anyways, so you can just do it as you go along. Around expertise 15, it will slow down a bit because you will have a lot more common items proficient, so when you donate it really doesn't move that much. At that point, if you really want to you can start specifically donating to items you need to grow the expertise.

I can't use the striker drone, any fixes? It duplicated defender and I then unlocked bombadier and now it duplicated that, see video for evidence, I've tried everything and no boosts or cheating was done. Very confused as it seems no one has ever had this issue for a years lol

I still suspect the only practical solution is to start again, you must have escaped the tutorial at the beginning of the game somehow where it forces you to unlock and equip that skill. Depending which dlcs you own, you could wait until you complete the main campaign then boost a second character and transfer everything to them, that way you're not replaying the same content.

The level 30 boost you get with WONY takes you to the same point where you've cleared all the base missions up to capitol building

That's why you complete the base game on your current character first then boost a second character

It'll help you survive immensely

A simple skill build can be easily brushed off by any pvp player with a good build

Overall I struggled with it compared to normal CP capturing, but that's partly because I was pushing hard with a full red build and some of the waves caught me out

• Normal difficulty — 50%.

Only available for True Sons, Hyenas, and Outcasts, but, still, regardless of the faction, upon completing the entire Retaliation, the chance to get a blueprint is:

• Heroic difficulty— 50%.
• Challenging difficulty— 35%.
• Hard difficulty— 10%.
• Normal difficulty— 5%.

For the five possible groups of Retaliation Materials, the highest drop chances come from level 4 CPs (regardless of faction): three groups at 100%, one at 65%, and one at 35%.

The only way to gain experience in countdown, is to play it. You need to know the ins and outs of pathing, optimal objectives and fast completions

it's an interesting approach, you definitively don't need Countdown. You can see where Striker gearset is dropping in the open world and go do missions and content there, by yourself. Same for the mask and whatever gun you want. It will take forever, but you're not 'carried'

i know it depends on game sense and all, but i played on another account and i farmed everything straight out of 40 at challenging and then moved to heroic with no hitches. only thing heroic makes you consider a lot is positioning

You just call for back up and someone will join if they want to.

retaliation will build up as you do stuff. this is just a "side progression", not a separate game mode, so it doesn't make sense for there to be a matchmaking queue for it

I go on Retaliation tab, ill press engage, i play controll points heroic , i cant ask for backup, matchmake, only retreat.

i don't see how this is confusing. it's just like the manhunt tab

you don't matchmake for it, but you have progression for it, and it works when you're grouped normally

just don't treat it like an actual game mode for some reason
