It's the optimization mechanic (bottom right on your Screenshot). Recalibration is used to change one part of the item (in your case the talent) with any from your library. Optimization is taking an item's existing roll and improving it gradually until it's maxed. You need to have the right attribute maxed in your library though.

You can't optimise higher than the max rolls for that gear type/stat in your library. Eg if it's a chest, you'd need to find and extract max crit damage from another chest before you can optimise that one to max.

Similarly you need to extract a max armour roll from a chest before you can optimise that one

Sidenote, if the roll in your library is higher than the one on your gear, you can optimise the one on the gear. Doesn't need to be maxed in library first, only higher. Of course you can't optimise it above the roll in your library, so for a max optimise you need a max roll

Afaik Material Costs for Optimisation also scale with the amount of improvement, so don't worry about wasting mats by optimizing only 0.1% or something

Could you explain to me how the crafting system works exactly. Im currently building out my library. Can I change every talent/core attribute/attribute of a gun as long as i have the required materials or is there a limit of how much i can change ?

you can only change aka recalibrate one thing unlimited times

if you decide to change the talent you cant change an stat

but you can keep changing the talent

or vice versa

so if you go a weapons with optimal range as it third stat, you can change to damage to armor or anything else

but you wont be able to change the talent

optimization can upgrade any stat any number of times, it just get expensive the closer to the max you get

similar to most of the correct rolls and right talent just means switching one roll

If you want to change the core attribute, yes, otherwise you mostly look for the correct minor attributes, so you can free roll the talent, depends on the build you want to go for etc.

More DPS comes from stacking weapon damage and critical damage. Land headshots to better your critical damage. But, again, depends on the build you are aiming for. I prefer high DPS with my guns so I stack amplified damage.

@frank plover one of the best and easiest builds to put together for DPS is Striker’s. If your playstyle is more or less relying on your guns, that’d be the way to go.

2. When you've chosen a build to farm, start doing The Summit or Countdown with targeted loot relevant to the build you want to farm. You can play The Summit solo. For Countdown you will need to matchmake. Challenging difficulty is where most of the players are.

I chalked it up to the 1st item in each category is bugged. The 2nd, 3rd and so on can be upgraded. If there’s only 1 item in the category (such as Specialist weapon) is not bugged and can be upgraded.

Even guns I already upgraded to 12, 15 and 18 cannot be upgraded because I only have 1 of them.

you have to be in your own session for those hunters that drop keys. I had the exact same issue, so had to redo the hunter fights (the ones that drop keys) in my own session

this game is still quite buggy, and a fix for the same scenario often works for some players but not others.
For example back in the warlords dlc there's a group of 4 named hunters that are supposed to spawn together.
Using my main character for this hunter fight, for some reason the 4th hunter in the group refused to spawn.
Each time I tried the encounter again the 4th hunter refused to spawn.
Same thing happened with my second character.
Magically using my 3rd character all 4 hunters spawned, finally got that last mask.

that range value is only on paper; I've tested it against it's ordinary non-named equivalent using a typical striker build, don't see a big difference...sure you could hit with more dmg at longer range with it but at that point you might as well just use a rifle

It's showing me that it already ended, but I got through the mission chain some time ago.

It was mostly cosmetic apparel. A couple of patches. A hat. An outfit. Some shoes. Some shades, I think? A VFX for the assault and sniper turret. A VFX for all hive variants. And the Slingshot which can be farmed from the loot goblin when it is active.

The outfit is the same design as the green camo style outfit purchasable from the store, but instead of olive green, it is splashes of colors. Yellow, blue, pink, I think.

Kind of a multi layered graffiti theme, at least to me.

All legacy manhunt missions are locked to the seasonal modifiers that were active in the season it was originally released. You might be able to deactivate them once you're in the mission and out of combat, but you won't be able to use the current season's modifiers in their place

The base modifier is still active - eg for last season's manhunt mission you still get the rogue momentum benefits, which are somewhat valuable even without any of the unlockable passives or actives

You can recalibrate one stat slot per item. Core stats (weapon damage/armour/skill tier) always drop the same (depending on the gearset/brandset of the item)

The repair skill attribute buffs skills that repair, like reinforcer chem and Restorer hive. Taking repair skills on a build with a turret and drone is going to do nothing.

You can heal your skills, with other skills, but repair skills doesn’t innately heal your skills.

Heal chem and hive can heal skills.

But 99% of the time you don’t need to heal your skills

Also, technician medkits will heal your skills

I just reinstalled the game after having not played it since warlords came out and I'm so lost. Any advice for a returning player? I was expecting to just be able to jump back in on challenging like when I last played but I got basically 1 shot by enemies in missions
