Like PvP Guy said, we don’t really know what you’re referring to.

Generally though, exotics are the hardest thing to get in game and the exotic components you get from them are a bottleneck late game.

Early game there’s some good exotics that are really worth having, so even though you’re not going to have a lot of need for exotics, you’ll be getting gear and weapons you can use.

yes, but shields, for some reason, take 10x the damage so it's not worth tanking with shield.

The simple way to answer pretty much any of your questions as some one who isn't lvl 40 goes as such. Keep exotics as you can reconfigure them to be level 40 after you've hit level 40, otherwise it's all junk and once you hit level 40 you should deconstruct anything not level 40 that you have. Nothing you do sub 40 really matters because it doesn't give you level 40 gear.

They are all different colors and there is a legend somewhere on the screen showing what they mean. Pretty sure you can also see these in the project menu and skip out on the bounty menu.

multiple kills keep the buff active

also refill chem launcher or spec weapon if they are in hand when golden bullet npc dies

basically spam the shit out of spawn doors and theyll probably not make it past the threshhold

Depends how quickly you put together a decent build, getting a base striker or hotshot set together with countdown should only take a couple of runs or so to get started (although many more to max it out of course).
Failing that just running 6 yellow cores and assault turret + striker drone will get you through most content with minimum effort

No, it's a separate mode with no real story connection to anything except the general Anderson manhunt (but it's not even spoilers for that)

If there's still a lvl 30 recalibration table you could extract any good rolls to that, donate the rest to expertise if possible and deconstruct what remains (except exotics, they can be upgraded to lvl 40)

To get to the Warlords of New York DLC campaign, you have a few options:

• You can use the boost at any time from character creation until just before you reach World Tier 5. Doing so will mark all main and side missions as complete. You'll be able to replay main missions upon return to DC, but not the side missions.
• If you reach World Tier 5 (see SIXPIX's guide below), then you can use the helicopter directly in front of the White House.
• Note: Once in New York, you will be unable to return to DC until the Warlords of New York campaign is completed.

If you’re trying to gear up, I’d recommend countdown on challenging. If you have an idea of what you want to build, you can just target the pieces and you’ll get them pretty easily.

It depends on your build, but an F2000 or Famas are great HE weapons.

both carbine 7 and mk16 feel about as stable as st elmo. theyll both be lesser options tho. you might consider looking into smg since you might be closer range if using lmg as a longer range option

i would kinda purge the idea that you need a named/exotic weapon tho... there is good ones but they usually arent the best options

you can get a good look at how different weapons stack up in the spreadsheet . obv talent selection will make a difference, but its a good starting point

yeah, something with fast hands might be a good option then. the 3 generally used talents, for red core/crits lean towards fast hands/strained , then when running more blue cores optimist becomes a better option

ive got a weird cosmetic bug that has been happening for a while but now its finally starting to bother me. sometimes when i switch my loadout, my appearance slot for my backpack is changed to the ward backpack even though that isnt what i have it set as, and it will even change my ninjabike bag's appearance to the ward backpack as well. anyway to fix it?

Any of the bag/chest/knee/glove non-gear appearance transmog mods become "sticky".

A quick fix will be to go into another bag, goto appearance mod, select the sticky mod then unselect. Back out and the bag should look normal.

Usually sticky mod will break and look normal again when you swap maps (dc > ny)

You shouldnt need to delete any loadouts but maybe re-save loadouts without any non gear appearance transmog.

They start from your world difficulty, set that to heroic and all CPs will be 4

There are two types of chest in DZ, Contaminated chests (with Yellow powder) will give you a high end item and it needs two keys. And "DZ chest" (it has the SHD symbol on it and it's clean without the yellow powder) it gives you a high end item with a chance of one exotic component, and it only requires one key instead of two.

If you are trying to get DZ exclusive items you could try them, with named cache on countdown and descent blueprints, that mechanic is not so useful anymore. The game is more than five years old so we can't expect old mechanics to be reliable in farming.

You have a chance to get DZ items from the DZ chests but it takes 30 minutes to reload the loot. Back in the day some friends of mine used to, go for the DZ chests to get target loot and DZ items, and then get the contaminated chests for the same reason.
