How are those, really?

The utility they offer doesn't really outweigh the benefits of other exotics.
Plus the amount of builds that would benefit from certain attributes make the kneepads practically a null option.

Also because they rely on map design, they're inherently weak in very specific areas where vaulting isn't really an option.
Either because none of the environment has vault obstacles or vaulting would put you at a disadvantage.

I know the effect also applies with CtC movement too, which is good because CtC can be great.
But It's not worth 25% Bonus armor or a reload, especially since a reload can be done anyway when doing CtC. Not like you can shoot anyone when you're doing it CtC.
So yeah... at that point your really only getting 25% bonus armor. And if you're using a red a build, that's hot garbage.
25% Bonus armor is like... the equivalent of maybe 2 or 3 seconds extra out of cover when under fire. It's just not good talent.

At that point you might as well up it to a brainless 100% bonus armor buff and like... a 20% damage amp lasting 5 seconds with a 15 second cooldown on the amp and 30 second cooldown on the bonus armor.

You'd get a hell of a lot more usage outta that than the way it currently is.

Because the ones that aren't are in desperate need of a rework.

Ninja kneepads aren't remotely worthy of being an Exotic as is.

Speaking of, what would you guys think if Memento got adjusted? More specifically, if each trophy collected added 0.5% damage as an amp rather than flat weapon damage?
And I mean that as a collective amp too. Not like Heartbreaker which was broken because it amped each of its own stacks on release.

You can (could?) do it with 1, but it's 100% a bug and will almost certainly be fixed.
If you pick a different backpack and change the appearance slot, then put on Memento, it'll carry over the appearance of the last backpack.

If y ou are bored of the game, and have reached your "end goal", then you can say you have "completed" the game.

Hello community! Noob here. I started stage 1 of field research for a gunner. I've completed the first mission twice, once on hard and once on normal but there's no credit for a Roach boss kill. Apparently, Roach isn't always there to get kill credit. Is that correct?

Depends if the mission is invaded or not - when you select the mission on the map, it lists which bosses are present on the left hand side. If you don't see the boss you want, go to the mission options and 'toggle mission mode' to check other versions of the mission.

A simple clue for field research-related bosses is the colour of the mission icon - if it's red, you'll need to toggle until it is pale blue.

A mounted turret yes.

Most people run Roosevelt island (normal mission mode on whatever diff you want) and at the end of the mission they use the mounted gun to kill people and wipe before they finish the mission and repeat until they have enough kills.

Field research: Gunner stage 5. The hardest aspect is to neutralize Basilisk on Roosevelt Island by destroying his armor first. I found a way to do it solo in normal mode by going into an area where the boss looses sight of me. When Basilisk looses sight of me he turns around and heads back a short way. I use a scoped marksman rifle as he stands there. Basilisk runs towards me but I'll run out of sight again. Rinse and repeat. Armor is on both arms and legs, helmet and front piece. Front and backpack are one piece.

To my knowledge, level a level 30 character to 40, unlock watch, throw all SHD levels into Printer Filament, spend filament on donating materials main character. It's also good to keep level 40 with watch unlock as they will scale levels with your main, so you can get a ton more filament that way as well. The other way I know is doing countdown and focusing an armor / weapon type, mark for deconstruction, then donating the items to expertise menu.

If you have 3 alts, every level you get on your main is 3 more to them. So while you get to higher SHD, the alts will scale up with your main and you get 3x the materials post 1k SHD. Your alts, you do not have to put any points into passive stats, and all of the points can go to printer filament.

Just ignore expertise for now, buy and donate named items but don't worry about anything too difficult to get hold of

Countdown and using items. Secondary and pistol should be non proficient while your primary is your normally used weapon.
Weapons and skills are the biggest hurdle to expertise. Target weapons and use 9999 mats for skills you hate.
Shift skills and weapons often.
Brand and gearset items will accumulate proficiency pretty fast and should be left till the end.

If you get to a point where most is proficient and you have un available items , target gear or skill mods to break for printer filament donations

If it's an exotics you cant recalibrate any stats, and if it's a normal gear you can only recalibrate one stat on it

You can optimize tho but it's expensive
