Is anyone else experiencing a bug in which the outposts in heroic mode reach a point where there are simply no more enemies, and... nothing happens? You kill everyone, and when it's time to defend it, no enemies appear, nothing happens, and you can't capture it either.

It's been happening to me constantly since the last update.

so the eclipse backpack is supposed to amplify incoming damage to enemies by 30% while theyre on fire. well when im in the range shooting a target thats not burning it hits for 115k. when the enemy is on fire the bullets hit for 94k. its the capacitor if that matters.. it looks as if its actually getting rid of around 30% of the damage

now im not even sure if its showing the bullet damage numbers while its busy showing burn and vile mask numbers. i can only find crits but not regular non crit bullets. since this isnt a crit build i wanted to see the base bullet dmg not on fire and on fire

if you have the crit numbers you can easily work out the non-crits, but maybe the chat log is better at saving these if your screen is too clogged up

i beat the hunters solo on challenging, 3 directives, used a bloodsucker striker build, just cause thats what i use for summit, play slow target them one on one, the emp will keep our abilities at bay so try to play around that and get one to rush you so you can build stacks with a shotgun and then switch to your dps to melt them down. if you need help i can join on that last floor, i have a few armor tank builds where you will not die haha

anyways yea, talents will add UI elements to the sides of your guns (or the buff bar at the bottom of the UI) so if you find something you dont know about, look at it and then check your gear and see if you can deduce it from there

Currently all yellow skill core ongoing directive status team build. Vile Mask with Bluescreen. Open with a fully charged pulse jammer. This disrupts and applies Vile dot to a VERY large area. You can see every enemy after the pulse so you pepper everyone with bullets for bleed ammo and blue screen procs. Suppress any real threats with your giant LMG magazine from long range. I constantly have an entire room ticking for about 150k a second per enemy. Pulse jammer will hit a warhound for about 2 million. Damage really relies on your ability to open every encounter with pulse jammer and making sure the stinger hive is always up to block enemies from moving up on you.

how to "max them out" is actually very simple. Some activities, a SHD level up, some projects, certain bounties, reward you Spec Points for the tree you currently have equipped.

Just check the reward. If there's the icon of your Spec Tree and a number of points, that's how many you get from doing it.

I still don't really understand it. So in this game you can get more than the required 165 spec points and thus max out multiple specs. But what for if you can only have one active at a time? In other MMOs if there is a talent tree, you can only get let's say 60 talent points. You can respec and put them into a different talent tree but you don't farm more talent points after that. So, I still don't understand why the Specialization system does this, am I missing something important here?

Not really if someone is using turrent/give skill with technician it is pretty much active

Once you get 165 spec points on a specific spec you wont get any more for that spec as a reward. The 165 will be enough to unlock everything and fully buff 3 weapon categories.

The only way you would earn more spec points is by changing to a different spec that's not maxed...
I'm not sure why you're thinking you'll get more than 165 for a specific class but it is faulty logic tbh.

If you enjoy the game and want to continue, you're going to need to get the DLC.
Lvl 40 is the "endgame" level cap, and it removes Gearscore entirely.

it goes on sale for 70%+ off fairly regularly.

Oh in that case just do whatever you like, you're at the endgame now so have fun!

At some point you'll need to farm out the Control Points at Lvl 3/4 (challenging/heroic difficulty) for the blueprints they drop, but that can wait until you're there.
I'd recommend looking at the spreadsheet that's 📌 pinned over in #td2-build-advice and giving it a browse, pick one of the builds that look like fun and then just kinda experiment a bit.

Idk yet what summit is supposed to be like but countdown seems impossible to do if youre not max geared

the time limit it against a player trying to do the objectives in regards to how low their gear is, and extraction, regardless of if you somehow did the main objective or not is really against the player with how many elites are thrown at you

This is why they give you an extra 4 man team

Even on challenging it'll be a cakewalk for your squad mates so you'll be fine

It's usually like 3 DPS propping up the team anyways

Only HP scales with player count, not enemy damage. It'll just take longer to kill things which might make you think they hit harder but really your just taking more damage before they die.

My question is: will I be able to also fill up my recalibration library 1-30 at the same time if I want to? I thought about creating a temporary second character just so I can finish completing my first library on my 1st character before starting the second library in case I can't do both. I know it is useless but just for the pleasure of doing 100% I am looking for reassurance before making the trip to NYC!

Yeah DTA sounds straight forward but the game doesn't tell you what armor is and it applies to way less than you think.

DTA only applies to enemies that have white segments over top of their health and only to that part, once you get to health it doesn't apply anymore.

So chungas, dogs, and robots don't take DTA at all.

And then there's sledgehammer, which calls itself "damage to armor" but is it's own thing with it's own conditions where it counts armor plating from dogs and robots as armor.

You could grind it the intended way, by making builds out of the unleveled stuff and using them in the field!

In early days of expertise I did a bit of normal summit to level random bits of named gear and exotics. Soon got bored and abused my shd levels for scav points though. That was back when you could get a higher expertise level if you did everything through xp instead of donations.

Yes kind of, but you only get the increased xp from enemy kills, story difficulty missions give fixed xp, and you have to complete them on story difficulty to progress.

If you own Warlords dlc (most people do, it adds a huge amount of content) then you can boost straight into that and only have to run the dlc, which only takes a couple of hours if you have help.

There are too many brand/gear sets to be on the map everyday. To change targeted loot hover your mouse over the countdown mission on the map and at the bottom it should say H targeted loot.

Some people have a bug where they don't see countdown on the map, if this happens change your TL via summit as they share selected TL.

See this is the bug I was talking about. You'd change TL via summit and go to the heli pilot or to the matchmaking tab at the top of your map to get into a countdown run.
