Most people make this assumption but the way the math works out that the 10% CHC/CHD is a bigger gain (assuming mid buff) to DPS vs 10% AR damage. This is because you've already got tons of all weapon damage in your build so you don't get a full 10% damage from fenris.

There is a spreadsheet pinned in the #td2-build-advice channel. It has a hub for builds that have a link next to them that opens an easy to read build guide.

A lot of people get caught up in thinking a certain build is perfect for them but it's much better to just try out the builds as they are pretty easy to farm.

1. Max everything out, all your cores. You can really easily get maxed Striker items from farming Countdown
2. Absolutely, farm for a Coyote. While you're there, farm for a Memento too (a brilliant alternative for solo Striker)
3. It's Grupo and Ceska in the remaining high end slots. Fully spec into crit chance and damage, you can pretty easily reach 60%/150% which, when combined with full Striker stacks, will do a lot of damage. Worth having a good Fox's Prayer roll too
4. A good primary like St Elmo's Engine, get rid of the super soaker and use something like Rock'n'Roll as your secondary. Start the encounter by holding down shoot with it, it's an absolute spam weapon and will knock your stacks up high immediately. I prefer FAMAS with Fast Hands to St Elmo, and it frees up the exotic slot for when you get Ouroboros (the best weapon in the game by a sizable distance)
5. Using the Striker chest or not, is all about how stop-start the encounters are. How much you want to hold on to your stacks for as long as you can. I wouldn't use Obliterate on Summit for example, when all you're doing is just running from encounter to encounter

Good question. Which of the three would get you to the other two the quickest? Toss-up between Elmo and Coyote (I'd farm for Elmo first personally, but equally there are other smarter folks here that may disagree)

I've tried all-red brandset combo (2 airaldi, 2 habsburg, 1 prov, chainkiller); 4 aces 2 hotshot (and vice versa) combo; and now I'm trying ninja, habsburg chest w/ headhunter, 2/3 aces, 1 hotshot, or 1 airaldi. No matter what I cannot one tap npcs without a red npc around to proc the buffs or have the buffs already proc'd. Tested these builds with White Death and Nemesis fully charged, no dice. At best I can break armor with 1/4 health left.

We waited for a bit until one player came back so any procs ran out (maybe determined may have still been up), but the sniper player in the group started one tapping purple armor and yellows right away once we started again. I inspect the build - player was using an all-red brandset (can't remember which) with Virginian and White Death

The build you've got isnt terrible, its at least cohesive to a point. Capacitor is used for skill builds. Its damage is not great for a build like yours, where you will be right up next to enemies (bc intimidate) and you need all the damage you can get. the full 3pc of Ceska is critchance/hazpro/health, health and hazpro are things you dont need. 1pc of Belstone isnt the worst either. The 1pc China Light is just for your skills, which will either AOE kill you due to your close proximity to enemies, or do so little (due to 1 skill tier) its not worth using.

Your build will work well on Normal, but any higher and you'll be facing a wall.

Run some Countdown on challenging or Heroic to get what you need- Dont worry about "carrying your own weight", countdown is an 8 person mode for a reason, you can safely drag the team down because atleast 4 other people will be really trying to get to the end, carrying your weight and the rest of the team if needed.

Now you can start adding blue cores. Or try to 6 skill tier by sacrificing as little red as possible. Or replace the backpack with bloodsucker and see how AoK feels. So on and so on.

When you start completely from scratch by putting together pieces you are starting without a baseline. The reason people thought your build looked "random" is because it doesn't make sense for anyone who understands builds.

I've been playing this game for thousands of hours and if I'm making a new build I'm always going to start from some meta baseline. It would be silly not to do that.

I think what a lot of experienced players have realized is that theorycrafting builds is not as they thought it would be originally. Pretty much everyone was in your shoes at some point... starting out, messing with ideas, putting together weird builds, and being told those builds are bad.

The reality is that once you start doing hard content (heroic and higher, and in groups) then your build options start to get really limited. There's still a ton of variety but builds start to fit into categories that sorta make sense. Hence someone saying Capacitor should be run at 6 skill tier - the math just works out that way.

its just inconsistent. but works well in heroic. the hive holds a lot of damage and i can see close to 750k burn sticky ticks when all is procced. 60% cap (sd) and 120% mem additive damages (sd se). it is a lot of work but if you get the ball rolling you start burning everything in spawn and the trophy just drop in your bag instead of needing pickup 🤔

If you have the correct attributes on a given piece of gear you can roll the main core. Same rules apply 1 attribute or core can be recalibrated on a piece, after recal all other attributes are locked in
