Few different ways, I'd suggest resource convoys as they'll give you all three resources. You can also go to resource nodes which might have enemies or not.

North of lincoln has food and components in big plots as well

That's Expertise level, you need to get proficient on all the gears and weapons to increase level

Cap is lvl 23 for now

But it will increase with each season as new gear is added

Target weapon types in countdown. Weapons will give the biggest bang as they only require 20 each.

Craft items like improvised gear (20 each) as these will never drop and only can be crafted for donation.

Use different exotics to get them proficient , item donations for exotics is not practical, those components are necessary for high level upgrades.

Mark everything you arent saving as junk. Use expertise bench to donate all junk. Whatever is left (already proficient) break down and donate the materials towards skills you never use.

Skills are another tough category so try and use as many as possible as this will save you material costs down the road.

If you have a decent shd and scavenging points to burn use as cash and buy up named items to donate. This is 30shd per item, but the alternative material cost to proficient is 3000printer filiment which is 300shd per item. This is a wony run type of leveling if you're at endgame with high shd level.

as long as a weapon is lvl 40 the damage itself doesn't vary outside of what attributes it has, and how many red cores and such you have equipped. (dmg doesn't vary from gun to gun when referring to the same gun.)

you can upgrade weapons dmg by adding more red main cores to build (wpn dmg), swapping attributes on the gun to something that provides dmg, etc. but like you wont find two police m4s with different base damages per say. that data isn't rng

even upgrade a weapon via expertise to add some wpn dmg....

Too add, crit damage, weapon talents that affect total weapon damage/weapon damage , and amplified weapon/all damage telents will increase your numbers but wont show on your stat screen. You'll see it when you hit stuff though.
Your higher damage weapons also tend to have lower rpm

We were all newbies once.

i think the only thing that i’m currently still waiting on help for is raids, and that’s because i first need to find a group, and then they need to be willing to carry a learner.

Raids in div2 are more about mechanics than anything else, so watching a good tutorial on them is pretty much mandatory.
Once you know, make a build that you'll need in there, and let a group know you're new. As long as you listen to what the Group Leader has to say, you'll do fine.

the best one to try out first is "Dark Hours" (only do Raids on normal, pretend Discovery doesn't exist) and for that you'll probably need a "Standard Red DPS" build, it's pinned over in #td2-build-advice > 📌 > spreadsheet.

that’s been my experience so far. I’m not a newbie when it comes to builds, i have warframe to thank for that. But the mechanics is really what i need to get ahold of.

I’ve ran dark hours twice so far with pretty good success. But am still looking to get the eagle and regulus from iron.

EB from Dark Hours is a lot easier to get overall, Iron Horse is a lot tougher than Dark Hours, being more punishing if you don't know it well.

Warframe is not a great comparison to div2 overall, the stats are more specific math heavy than just stacking them up cleverly.
e.g. Crit Chance (chc) hard caps at 60%.

a better comparison for the Raids is Destiny 2.

My questions are about the score of Equipment. My friend and I play together but I have the dlc and he doesn't. He has the score points and I don't. For me it still says that my equipment has levels (in this case all of my equipment is level 40 but my agent level is 45 right now). Now I'm wondering how I can get back to the score system and if it is even possible.

past level 40 (or level 31, immediately since the WONY campaign) there is no "equipment score" (or gear score as it is known in the english localization) anymore, and it is really not that significant a mechanic. you can gauge your build's effectiveness by the rolls on each item and they will be a much better metric to use rather than gear score

Gearscore is gone once you hit Lvl 40, all your gear is Lvl 40 from now on.

Airflow is important. PC's push out a lot of heat.

If you can't just open a window or something, try adding in a cooling option to your PC. With my old one I bought a desktop fan and pointed it at the case. Worked a charm, but basically anything else is better.

Yea my PC has 10 fans, 6 intake and 4 exhaust. I was thinking about getting a little fan for my desk but wouldn’t that just push the hot air in another direction and not actually make it any cooler?

The hot air is already inside your PC, you need to get it out. What I did is have it at the front of the case pointing straight ahead.

Well the room gets hot, fan layout probably ok if all the heat is driving room temp higher.

Need to lower the thermostat if central air, add a window ac, or possibly use some sort of exhaust fan to purge the air from the room .

Unless you have shd to burn . If you have decent shd and a watch mule you can spam 1 of your alts for shd weekly projects.
Just have to start in dc. Make way to whitehouse. Do minor prerequisites needed to booste to 30. Buy shared blueprints. Use mats from mule to complete weekly shd (also requires a trip to Lincoln memorial area for water/components/food)
Delete and repeat.
Its roughly 15min/exo component but time can probably be shaved off that estimate.

Countdown is 30min/per exo + possible drops.
