Not the best farming, but Descent is easy ish. Set to World 5 Heroic and all directives before starting. When you pop out you'll get a lot of XP depending how many loops you did. I got like 20 SHD levels in 2 hours amd only got to loop 4 twice or so before failing. Easiest 459 to 479 I seen

Well if you are new just start clearing every control point. You get something from clearing every CP on the map, a commendation or backpack trophy idr. You need hundreds of blueprints from them anyway. You can do cp3s or cp4s whichever you feel is faster/more fun. SHD 1k isn't going to be the omg I'm crazy strong now you might think. A good build will will utilize 1k SHD sure but skill, map knowledge, and builds are more important.

smalls increments of bonuses, instead of getting a lvl, you get a watch lvl

Watch Levels are basically skill points , just like when you pass a level and get a skill point to upgrade something, thats the watch level

Yeah, and u can basically put those "skill points" into small buffs that do eventually be big overtime, also every 5 SHD watch levels give you a health boost (no limit)

It's weird that it doesnt even let you open the case though.
You might try joining someone else's session that definitely doesnt have the named marksman, nemesis, or the exo component and see if you can open it there.
