So tips to shoot juggernaut from black tusk is: shoot his backpack first then body armor late?

clear area of adds
once he's alone, shoot his belt
once its off, unload on his backpack until its destroyed, if his ammo belt comes back at any point, destroy it right away, repeat until his backpack is gone
once its destroyed, shoot his head repeatedly, while also making sure he doesnt have his ammo belt

That will be tricky when they spawn 3 jugs

shooting the ammo belt, stops him in his tracks and puts him in an animation where he's repairing it, allowing you to safely shoot at him

it allows you to equip more mods than necessary thereby exceeding some stats that you normally would obtain from using regular brands

example: being able to equip 6-7 protection from elites mods (most common usage)
where using regular brands would limit you to only 3 (4 with chillout)

One player breaks the grill with the crossbow, the other demo launches a grenade in. You can also throw a regular concussion grenade in (not fire, foam or anything else) but some people have trouble aiming with it because of its arc. And it's a tad slower than the demo launcher.

The light inside the hatch will turn green if your concussion/demo nade hit correctly

there are some guides in #contest-winners, when it comes to actual builds I'd suggest checking the spreadsheet pinned in #td2-build-advice as a lot of youtuber builds are clickbaity and not necessarily any good.

As for 'what to do', you kind of have to set your own goals - a common goal is to improve your builds and gameplay skills to be able to deal with the harder difficulties (Heroic, Legendary)

there's also the seasonal manhunt, goals relating to maxing out expertise level and getting your watch up to 1000, shepherding milestones, raids

Countdown (on challenging difficulty, steer clear of heroic for now) is an excellent method of gearing up fast. Once you've got a halfway good build you can move your world difficulty to challenging, which will improve your average rolls on drops and prevent any purple items from dropping.

Rephrased I'd say we want to start leveling up to 40, but not miss out on any DC content that we would need to finish first before heading out to NYC.

I personally was looking forward the looter shooter and fun gameplay + making sure all my drops are relevant (like to the endgame recalibration library instead of all being for nothing once I hit 40) so I skipped them and then did them after wony, that worked well too

One thing to remember that if you skip you'll have to comeback and do them on story anyway

really depends on how invested you are in the story vs wanting to get to gameplay

it's a bit like how original trilogy of star wars was 4-5-6 but then watching 1-2-3 after still works fine too and you'll make the connections of what happened (it's not like it's all spoilt and has 0 meaning suddenly doing after wony)

That's kind of what I meant yes, we are just saving materials and cash right now and it's hard to hold back to start recalling or optimizing stuff because it's redundant soon.

I enjoyed doing those couple missions leading up to wony after I hit 40 and was done with it just fine, it still felt meaningful to do them and you learn stuff that's not necessarily spoilt all the way, and the missions are still unique, but it felt nice to me that anything I got worked towards endgame stuff already and could even do some other endgame activities in between those missions as I was already there

sounds like that'll be right up your alley, same thing I did and looked forward to doing and it was nice!
I skipped even coney island (the last bit leading right up to wony, which I didn't even know as it was just among the couple of those missions on the side I skipped) until after 40 and even then going through it was quite nice, nothing felt out of order and they did a good job of making the wony bit feel quite standalone as I presume they made it with people in mind who start straight there with the boost

so story wise both sides worked out absolutely fine imo and you get the endgame gameplay unlocked quickly so you can alternate activities any time (and of course the bit you said with progress counting towards endgame instead of kind of nothing, XP/cache/calibration library etc wise)

Someone asked about that couple days ago somewhere, I'm pretty sure you can't

and if you can, only worth is for talents, I'd say maybe give it a go

since attributes have a lower cap the lower level the item is so even if it's maxed roll on that say level 31 item, it won't be anywhere as much as it'll be able to get on a max level item anyway
talent of course would be worth since it's either you have it or you don't

but I'm pretty sure my first time when I got to 40, I had a bunch of level 35-39 gear still on and I immediately started to work on calibration library and found that on all sub level 40 items (anything I got before unlocking endgame, potentially even the level 40 items on last mission, but not sure about this - it'd be just a few anyway) it just said item is not eligible as it's too low rank/level/something

yah I'd say give it a go on a piece with a talent (purple/high end yellow piece) to see if it allows you just in case, then you'll know, but from what I remember I don't think I could do it on any of them

also not worth sweating too much about it so if you forget or don't want to go out of your way to do it and need inventory space I'd not worry, it wouldn't be that many anyway and you'll get them very quickly at 40

there isn't really anything you can do while levelling to 40 or even first hundreds of SHD levels after 40 that'd say set you behind on long term so you're also not missing out or anything

even if you find out 500 hours in that oh oops should've been doing Y action instead of X action on all those tens of thousands of items, no big deal, you start doing it that way then and you'll skyrocket to that new course
game absolutely showers you with items and drops in many ways

I get it, but countdown is another option. You also get currency to buy exotic caches. I recommend saving the loot till you can buy 10 or 20. In my experience you tend to get less duplicates when you buy and open multiple caches.

How does exotic components work (the random exotic component from loot boxes) - is it based on difficulty and directives - the higher your chances? And does it apply to every loot box? Do you have to be the one to open it or can someone else? What I mean is that does someone opening a loot box and you get to it like 20 seconds later affect it?

I believe it is individual. Such as the person before you when they open it, the loot doesn't appear on the ground for you, you have to open it yourself.

The exotic component doesn't show as a loot piece, it will show on the left in the text about what you picked up.

I am not sure about chances, I run heroic all directives all the time and there doesn't seem to be a pattern. Sometimes it's 1 in 4, sometimes 1 in 8 and sometimes 0 of 10.

I have had good runs too with 3 of 5 just all luck of the draw

Just to be sure, it is only the yellow crate you open when completing a control point that has the chance, not regular open world crates you find.
