yes, that means it can drop in the lz if its in your exotic loot pool

some items have crafting quest to be added in your pool, and some other have prerequisites to be added

flatline does lock you into technician specialisation aswell practically, so that is also a consideration you should keep in mind

I can't recall at the moment, but I think the pinned spreadsheet in #td2-build-advice has a list of named weapons and gear and how you can get them. Some named items are DZ locked, I can't remember if Pyromaniac is one of them.

But generally, you just target loot the weapon type and pray that you're lucky enough to get it within reasonable number of tries.

I’d say it’s mid tier for both pvp and pve. In pvp it made all smgs get a nerf so smgs aren’t as great there. Pve it can be useful for speedrunning purposes but that low mag size really hurts it

hello question about recalibrating. if you can only recalibrate 1 thing how in the world do i get all damage heart breaker. do i need the attributes to be max or near max damage and then i just swap the core out for the 15%?

basically yeah, as there is also optimisation that will let you improve any stat on gear to full, but that is very expensive in comparison to recalibration,
so for all red HB you want to farm good enough gear that already has chc or chd minors that are either full, or close enough to not matter, or close enough to optimise, and then recalibrate the core to red

you miss out on the experience of doing all the main campaign missions in early game, but if thats not interesting to you than not particularly

for your first run, its worth it to see the story and lore, you can skip it if you really want to go to endgame faster. but its decent content

and it will lock you out of a few achievements, and the ability to have the full collection of echos, if you care about those

boosting will put you at the start of the wony expansion, and that is a decent tutorial for the game aswell, and for a first clear it can be done in 5-6 hours if you just go after the main objectives, 10 at most if you go exploring

also the final manhunt mission currently drops a exotic for each clear, even on normal, and can be completed in 12-ish minutes with a matchmade group on normal

so a great farm to get some of the exotics before it will be removed next tuesday

the difficulty is decently different and heroic needs at least a few competent players in decent builds to be completable

as for loot, heroic give slightly better drops, but also less per hour overall as each run tends to be longer, making challenging the better gear farm overall

but heroic does make up somewhat for that in that it gives 3x+ more coins that can be spent on named and exotic caches

so it comes down to what you are after,
if its a gameplay challenge or exotic caches, then heroic,
for gear farming, challenging

What spec is good or not depends on your build. You use each spec for the buffs they can give. For example, technician gives a skill tier and skill damage so you can use that for a skill build. Survivalist is good for a healing build due to the outgoing healing it gives, and sharpshooter is used for headshot builds due to the headshot damage and weapon handling it gives

There are rewards for doing bounties btw. They're a decent source for exotics, you get faction specific optimization materials, and you get cash for doing them

I didn’t get any of that for doing it. Got 200 creds, a purple chest piece (that is 40 rating below mine) and 12k xp. That’s it. And it took WAY too long. Each boss took 5-6 minutes. They were always in cover (but one who was the hammer charging dude) rehealing, and just sitting there for 40-50 seconds not coming out of cover. And it took about 12 mags for each one, had to reload ammo from the ammo boxes about 3 times. Hence asking if I could skip them, they wernt fun, no achievements and no rewards.

It showed up after I saved some civilians from a execution. They gave it to me.

In the west end. I’m tier 1, gear rating 292 if that makes sense of where I am.

Theres a small section with orange bars next to your ammo counter. As you get kills it fills up, when its full the next enemy you kill drops a stack of signature ammo and resets the bar

lvl 1 drops you in DC at the start of Division 2. If you're coming back I'm assuming you did all the base content in division 2 the first time around so go for warlords at 30. There is currently a bug that prevents you from completing the Pentagon mission but they should fix that eventually considering it's very wide spread

The thing that causes the bug is if you don't finish the Pentagon mission before going to NY.

If you don't mind spending an extra 10m running the original tutorial thing you can boost to lvl 30 WT5 and run the pentagon mission then and there before going to NY, which will fix the bug.

Once you unlock your first skill you have to go digging in the ingame store add-ons section to find the boost.

and the lvl 1s arent upgradable, as that would be pay to win, now exos arent hard to get, but around release, if they gave everyone 2 free upgradable exos just for paying more, could you imagine the outrage, and they would be right aswell

You can’t “craft” them, and yes, you need to find one first before you can convert it into a ruthless. But they are basically the same guns just with a different skin. The only reason to convert merciless is to complete your exotic wall in the range. If it actually means something to you.

Most builds in #td2-build-advice's pinned build hub spreadsheet mention commonly used/meta weapons

ARs are probably most used/versatile in PvE at least, just kind of really great in many ways, and usually overshadow LMGs in (almost) every way
MMRs have their use in e.g. sniper builds (aces/tots) and have an insanely high skill ceiling in most content, extremely viable if you can aim well
Rifles have better range than ARs and can be great backup weapons (or per preference even primary weapons) on a lot of builds, and are great with ammo efficiency
Shotguns/SMGs are mostly used for CQC builds like HF

But you can make most types work fine if that's your preference and enjoy using them more, just in some cases you might be slightly worse than meta but it's not anywhere unplayable usually

I haven't done D1, but there's no distinction to gearsets being classified here, no 5/6 piece bonus or anything

just gearsets (with one attribute next to core, bonus effect with 2/3/4 pieces, in most cases you really want 4 or none of them) and regular yellow high end items (with two attributes next to core, and a brand set effect with 1/2/3 pieces or improvised with an extra mod slot instead on pieces that normally don't have one)

there's bunch of good builds with varying gameplay focus depending on your playstyle all in the build hub too
