Yes, ideally a level 30 clan. You can join a random clan, buy whatever you need from the clan vendor and leave the clan again if you don't want to stick around.

Not really. Good snipers are two of the exotics (Mantis and Nemesis) and the named sniper 'White Death'. Other snipers noticeably weaker by comparison.

is anyone else getting steam rolled in the dark zone, i bought the game on steam a few days ago after not playing for a couple years, and my character use to be pretty beefy in pvp and i was totally expecting my character to be a bit outdated with all the updates and seasons i missed but the last 3 days every time i attempt to farm the dark zone i get insta melted by players with 2 mil armor, did the game really change that much and isnt there suppose to be dark zone brackets for that wide of a gap in gear?

He’s level 14 so white death, mantis, and nemesis aren’t available. I used snipers during 1-30 so I just grabbed whichever ones I likes, including the designated hitter. @narrow kraken that will be outclassed quickly so just use the highest level gear you can find

its a old solo "unkillable" tank/repair skill build or atleast it use to be a couple years ago, i have 1.2 mil armor with a ton of repair skill where the restorer hive would full heal me in pretty much two or three charges and it use to be super toxic to use in pvp a few years ago but now im getting steamrolled by people with twice as much armor than me

where TL farming countdown gives you many small chances every drop of one of the three exo masks.

also for true suns only, you can also do lincoln, the true suns are the only faction that have a mission that fast that it competes with bounties

Every objective area has three black loot chests and one orange one. Here's how it works:

• If it's a normal objective then one of the three black chests will be available. Spend your first countdown rounds learning where they are so next time you can just check all three real quick.
• If it's a main objective the black loot chest is still available. But also when you complete the main objective the orange chest is available to open.

The big thing you get from those black chests is SHD calibration.

matchmaking for countdown is a good way to farm up, its a 8 man timed mission that gives allot of loot and you can set your own targeted loot, try it on challenging starting out,
if you rather solo then summit has selectable TL aswell and can be done solo, or farm the openworld missions and zones for the TL's you are looking for

but you shouldnt really consider it till you reach an endgame, even with normalisation, you will have a bad time going into the DZs at lower lvls

you could try calling for backup ingame, there is a system in place where (hopefully) experienced player respond to call for backups from newer ones.
if you go to the mapscreen, its under the tab called SHD, you can call for backup there and usually someone joins from that pretty fast, unless its way off your regions primetime

and while he exist year round, every year from 1 dec to 31 jan, he is the christmas versions and he has a few special named items that he only drops around that time,

Dont farm for exotics (pure cherry red color background) till level 40 . If you do get them somehow store in stash.

Only destroy chameleon (easily get one every week farming bounties) or imperial dynasty (trash exotic).

If you destroy them u get exotic components which u can use to upgrade your low level exotics to level 40

my friends said that everything felt easier for them when I was there even when afk because while yes enemies get scaled up, so do all the group members, they get buffed up in health and damage to match those enemies and I guess the scaling is sometimes whack

the "but even though" part kind of makes it sound like a despite kind of thing, as if that'd make it worse

you can also see that if you're helping say a level 32 person (and you're 40), they'll show up as 32 with an upper arrow + 7, scaled up to 39 to match the level 39 enemies in story

Notably it scales your gear too, so if you're eg level 35 you could be running a level 31 build and it'll all be scaled up to level 39, so you don't need to worry about constantly upgrading as you level. At least until you hit 39 yourself and the scaling vanishes.

Is there a specific order in which I have to unlock classified assignments? I was able to unlock the one near the White House, but now I'm standing in front of one in Downtown East and nothing happens when I hold F to scan entrance?

indeed works as kettle noted, thats why it can feel easier, especially if their weapon was a few lvls under them, then it gets scaled up to their lvl and is better while scaled as its same lvl as the content, instead a few lvl beloww

on a sidenote, scaling goes to -2, 38 is the max scaled lvl when running someone below that or at 38, 39 isnt possible

once you reach lvl 39 with a lvl 40 in the group, group scaling deactivates for the lvl 39

One of the caches gives you all the sets, including the new one. One gives all the exotics including the new one. Can't remember where the new named items were but they were in one of the caches. You could also create a new character, I believe they stay with the new gear

heroic is much tougher than Challenging so leaders tend to be much more finicky about builds and/or shd levels as a suprising number of undergeared players try to join it. You can just start your own though, noone can kick you if you're the leader.

the daily and weekly projects are good for getting those specialisation points in, and some of them (weekly shd requisition, weekly summit challenge, weekly legendary) offer exotic caches as well as the other listed rewards so they're useful for gearing up

if you have the build for it, doing the weekly invasion on heroic will get you a bunch of named items too (in addition to extra spec points)

you're missing the bounty missions for the 4 targets - you've unlocked them, but you still need to actually do them. Check the bounty map for their areas.

BTW they are quite tough and have a minimum difficulty of 'challenging' so prepare for a difficult fight

I've just realised you may have misunderstood me about the 'minimum of challenging' thing: all the activities you've done so far are fine at whatever difficulty - you don't need to do any of them again. However, when you select the main target bounties, you'll find they default to Challenging difficulty if your world difficulty is lower.

For group OC you'd still have to be T6, though. And if you base it off of a 3y build, that doesn't leave much for damage, especially in a group that might be all-reds. Not sure what build you're trying to use that combo on, but seems kinda unreliable IMO.

There's no more world tiers after 5. Once you finish the WONY campaign, you'll be able to travel back and forth between NY and DC and basically continue where you left off, except you will be level 40 then.

it used to mean that one was a perfect talent and one wasnt, with allot of the added talents from the newer team in the last season this no longer is the case, like with the two there, so now you are best to just ignore it really

if you are looking to gear up, challenging countdown can be a good start, you can matchmake for it once you have a decent enough build, before that you can do missions or summit on challenging or heroic either solo or in group

the difficulty decides, its only the last named of the mission or bounty that drops it aswell, not every named

1 for normal, 2 for hard, 3 for chal and 4 heroic

one way to go about fast grinding, is that if you complete a normal bounty on a heroic world, the world diff applies to the tac assessment and you get 4 instead of 1

so you can set to normal, farm a ton of bounties that will mostly be normal, swap to heroic world and do the easier normal bounties and still get 4

My build is a skill build with turret and drone. Every time I go against a rogue agent. My skills become unusable and if I get a chance to use them, the rogue agent turns them against me. Because of this it is impossible for me to kill rogue agents. Am I being forced to play a different build because of this or is there a way around it?

Deployable skill such as turrets, drones, hives etc. will inevitably get hacked by them and turned against you. DPS, ideally with a Scorpio, works best against them.

I think lady death is meant for run and gun, dark winter you can get by with staying in cover but you’ll need to be in at least 20 meters of your enemy

It’ll benefit from your crit chance so you’ll want that at 60%

it shows it on the weapon, its a little semi circle that fills up while you fire on the gun model itself

no, allot of weapon talents show up there, so you just have to keep that in mind, also once you get used to it its easier to see it there than on the buff bar

anyone know how to get the "ruthless" exotic lvl 1 out of my inventory? its marked for deconstruction but i cant unmark it or deconstruct it or equip it or even donate it to recal library

that weapon is indeed a little annoying in that you cant destroy it easily, you can put it to your stach and just forget about it, it also cant be upgraded later on, but it doesnt take any invertory of stash space (as in that the number on your stash doesnt go up when you add it to it for instance)

countdown is one of the best places for farming gear, on challenging it is pretty easy to run unless you get a bad group, it is 8man though, summit is also good especially if you rather solo, both let you set your targeted loot

and for build advice have a look that the spreadsheet in the pinned comments in #td2-build-advice , there is a spreadsheet in there with a bunch of build guides in the hub tab

each guide has a short intro to how it plays, so read a few and see what you may want to farm for, and then follow that guide

yes, all the seasons are mostly manhunts and new gear and weapons. its not every season with new gamemodes, next gamemode is descent planned for spring

depending on what you tried before, try it on challenging, lower than that in diffulty will not have anyone, if maybe that was the issue

yes, almost all exotics can come from countdown or any other mode, especially if you target loot to that gearslot/weapon type

only a few are locked to the raids/legendary/need to be crafted have a quest first
