It's not that its dead, there's still posts i see for raids but it depends on the time of day you're looking at it. They always want you to have like 6 trillion clears though and the leaders that run them tend to be arseholes, which is why the majority of the player base has never run iron horse - there have been a few kind souls in the community over the last handful of months bringing new players in and teaching them the mechanics but it's not something that I've seen happen on the LFG side of things very often, and if it does the space goes very quickly.

That sounds like the kind of numbers from the damage glitch many moons ago. YouTube was popping out these thumbnails with big numbers to attract attention then game play damage output is like 80% less of what was "advertised".

Liberty is still a great pistol though.

(Chain killer and regulus during the reanimated event is very fun though) so just don't watch any gameplay of it or you'll be jealous.

that used to be the case at release with a lower droprate, currently it seems to be a 20%+ chance to drop, in helping a few recent newbies get the project, the longest one took was 4 chests, mostly in 1 or 2

So from my experience, you're guaranteed to get a drop between that range if you loot a chest every 3 levels, but you won't mandatorily get it on the very first chest you loot

It's a bit of a pain in the ass to grind summit depending on other checkpoints, but you could probably check #lfg-pc to see if someone has the floor range you're looking for

I personally don't recommend running Vectors with HF. The gun spends a lot of time reloading when it should be firing. And Killer is a bit of trap talent, even on Dark Winter. Only around 60% of all your kills are going to be crit kills.
So Killer has an overall uptime of 60%-ish. Maybe a little higher, maybe a little lower. Depending on your luck.
For HF I would recommend a SIG MPX/CMMG Banshee with Fast Hands or Vindictive. Vectors would probably have a rough time of it unless the Apex Predator buff is at high-max stacks.
Vectors in general are hit or miss, because despite their RPM, they only have 45 rounds. So you're basically reloading almost constantly. And that 1.9 second reload time really adds up with the amount of reloads you deal with.
Additionally, Vectors almost always excel with high burst DPS. So basically, if you can't kill your enemy within that one mag, you're just better off with another weapon like... 7 times out of 10.

For HB, it would probably be a more viable option with it's high RPM for stack maintenance. And at high-max stacks you could probably pull off the damage required to kill enemies within in that 45 bullet mag size.
However, I wouldn't know the balance ratio of Red:Blue cores you'd need to pull it off at minimum. So that's something to test out yourself or have someone else that knows, tell you.

That's why I said stack maintenance, not stack building. ACS-12 is still the top option for that.

With a Vector, you could probably keep the numbers within range. But building is going to be a bit of an annoyance.

You're not wrong. Just don't want to completely knock the weapon since I don't use it enough myself to know how it'll work with HB. So whatever I can say on it is somewhat limited.
Personally, I would just use the ACS-12 the entire time and not even bother switching weapons unless it's another ACS-12 to momentarily bypass a reload.

The advantage of Scorpio is it's utility, not its damage. It allows you to get away with making stupid plays that would otherwise get you killed.

It's a good weapon, yes. But it is not superior to any other weapon by miles. There are things that it does well and things that it doesn't.
And damage is very much not one of the things it does well. It does damage decently.

Enemies in Countdown deal shit damage unless it's a Hunter. If I catch them in the spawn, they just die in one shot, lmao. Also I'm not even using a damage talent in the chest with this loadout. I have unbreakable on.

Devs confirmed it will not happen. Puts too much strain on the servers. They already tried it once in house, and it apparently caused problems.

How does armor proficiency work? I just got back. All my eclipse says proficient but I can't upgrade it. Do I need to get rank 10 for the brand as a whole? And do I need to put on gear that has no proficiency to get the brand further or do I just farm with what I've been using?

You need to upgrade it using resources after reaching max proficiency (10). The amount of times you can upgrade it is limited to your Expertise level. Once any item hits Proficiency 10, you can pick up as many of that item and it will stay at proficiency 10.

The only thing to keep in mind is that all items are upgraded individually. For example, you can't have two eclipse protocol gloves upgraded to the same level unless you upgrade both manually. So basically, be careful how you upgrade your items.

You definitely do not want to upgrade something you may end up replacing or throwing away.

You can think of it like that, yes. You can either use items to increase their proficiency, or you can donate junk/resources of that item's category. Either or.

If you basically don't feel like using certain things, you can just throw resources/dupes towards that particular item and increase its proficiency that way.

The more items you're proficient with, the higher your expertise rank will be. That's the basic gist of it.

Completely up to you to control the pace of your growth. For some, getting resources is annoying, so they skimp out of Expertise for a bit to gather more, then upgrade their items, and then increase their Expertise level.

You can easily donate the grey resources without problems. Those come in large abundance, so there's no real need to worry about those. Always donate protective fabric and receiver components if you're able.
They come in very large quantities and you'll be bound to have a couple of thousand after farming for a short while, if all you're doing is deconning equipment.

No no, only the startup frames get invincible frames. Recovery frames possibly don't need iframes to balance out the roly poly gameplay.

Rolling is easily countered anyway since you can see where the roll ends and you can pre-aim towards that location. Even if rolling has iframes, it wouldn't be enough to break anything or make anything unfair imo

But what's interesting is that the roll's recovery frames are so quick that you can pop into cover almost immediately as soon as you end the roll. It's some fighting game mentality there which I like in the heat of gunfights

Nevertheless, when you roll out of, let's say a hunter's melee and it still hits you despite the awkward hitbox, there should be some grace period when you're completely invincible from any damage (including those annoying nades that set you on fire and disorient you). But I suppose it still depends on player awareness at the end of the day.

it was a nerf, plus it also was a shadow nerf cause it wasn't in the patch notes. My guess is they didn't plan on stating it at all as during pts they said the don't plan on making changes to HB. Kinda makes u look bad when you change your mind on a weekly basis as devs. What they should have done is instead improve the other gear sets to match HB. But they do that often: release a powerful gear set and then nerf it, e.g. aces & eigths. I feel that gear sets should be more powerful. Gear sets in div1 were much more "special" when u finally had them together. Especially with the classified pieces. But in div 2 u r just as powerful with the right combination of high end gear. That kinda takes away the point of having gear sets.

Gear sets are mostly 'on par' with high-end builds and far quicker/easier to put together (fewer stats to need the correct rolls on) so it makes sense to me that they are balanced. If you want to feel powerful, just play on challenging, and leave heroic & legendary for people that actually like a challenge

If you really want to get into the nitty gritty of it, then the fact is that money talks. And as morally questionable as it is, most companies will always chase the dollar.
Even if they have to support groups they may or may not care about. Regardless of what individuals within that company believe in or think themselves. That's what it essentially boils down to.
