You can try using the chem launcher. Just bait him wait fkr him to swing at you, dodge then shoot chem launcher at his feet. The chem launcher should simultaneously deplete his armor. It worked for me anyway.

Which reminds me. In Resurgence there are armor types. Piercing, Blast, and one other. Since you can only bring 2 primaries that means you can only focus on 2 types of armors. But the Corrosive hive used by Medic specialization is so good to the point people prefer using Medic as DPS instead of the actual specialization that was made for DPS, the Vanguard.

In short, not only Medic is viable for DPS, its also more versatile at dealing damage than Vanguard.
