@humble python You can still get Prototype Gear to drop if you're lower than Expertise 30, but it's more about your build and teamplay than anything else.
As long as you've got a solid DPS build, you should be fine up until like, Escalation Tier 3.

(you do need to be Expertise 30 to upgrade your current gear to Prototype though)

Well when you run one UA you're likely using either Salvo or Equalizer, they would be worth running even without a strong brand bonus. The only benefit from Fenris is the AR dmg, with no talent or named version equivalent to UA named pieces.

Firstly, the higher damages are proto builds with echo.

Secondly, damage is very aggro dependent. Depends heavily on how much aggro you draw from enemies.

Don't worry about that, some players finish off kills another started without fully realizing while some do it on purpose or not yall a team so goal is to wipe them out anyway. I use iron lung aiming at all enimies so it will cause a lot of burn and bleed using OD im over shd 17000 and i dont even worry about that. Meaning I dont come in 1st or 2nd when others use strikers or tipping scales for examples.

1. Get proto striker with at least 5 pieces Echo.
2. Go for heads. Make sure accuracy is at least >40% and hopefully more than 45-50%.
3. Pay attention to the aggro you draw. Don't start shooting first, if you do, use a decoy, if you draw too much aggro, use a decoy again to drop it.
4. The more visibility you have, the more aggro you're gonna draw. "Power positions" such as elevated platforms will increase your chances of drawing aggro from random enemies which means you spend less time shooting. Play around corners and positions from which you can get visibility and reliably hit 1-2 enemies instead of ones where when you peak, you are visible to every available enemy.

The trick to loot farming in div2 has always been the ratio of speed: loot.
If you're much faster at Tier 4, then go for Tier 4.
I ran a bunch of Tier 5's today, I can confirm that random groups will still require a carry unless you're lucky.

Area target loot pool is separate from enemy drop loot pool, it's not dz so hollow man not more likely to drop

Well hollow man is dz exclusive so although u can get it in conflict caches

DZ and Conflict share a pool, you can also get it from Named Item Caches, occasionally from the Countdown Vendor, and the weird one: certain manhunt Rogue bosses, but that may have been patched.

So pretty much unless you want to run DZ your best bet is Named Item Caches and Houndsman bounty farm.

the other surefire (but takes longer) way, is to run Retaliations, and buy "Reconstructed Caches", which give you the reusable blueprint for basically every Named Item in the game. But it's a gamble what you get, and there's..... a lot.

It's a good long term solution though, I can craft as many as I want, as long as I have Yaahl mats.

did you know you can share loot from caches? if your inventory is full and you open caches the item drops on the floor. then you can clear your inventory, pickup said items and share them with your homies.

mine is so hit or miss. i got 3-4 keys on challenging in an hour the other day, and then got 4 on normal in the same amount of time. then 2 in 1.5 hours today. apparently RNGesus just hates me regardless of difficulty

i would say normal-challenging the drop rate difference is basically a rounding error; it's more noticeable in heroic as the rate is enough that squads start appearing with 2-3 keys occasionally, and single keys more often.

Yes it's RNG, but that's still just probability at the end of the day, and keys will be slightly more probable in heroic versus anything lower.
