You are not going to get the piece you want out of Escalation, it just isn't how the game is set up.

If you are remotely trying to find prototype gear it is Expertise 30+Core. We have far far more items in the game now, with no ability to target farm...Escalation is not going to give you remotely what you want. Not to mention stats, talents, rolls.

my core strength 3blue/2red/memento with crusader build is dealing 185k on non crit and 310k on crit with st elmos
my strikers with the same core and exotic setup is dealing 250-280kish on non crit, and 460-500k on crit with st elmos when in the high end of stacks (no chest or backpack)
im also getting nearly double (!!!) crusader shield health on core strength (4.7m on strikers, 8,7m on core), and 100% skill haste
if i choose to add some expertise the quite moderate increase in armor will only grow wider

Where any applicable drop had a chance to be converted to a prototype with a lerp value based on your expertise, going from 0-1%, 1% being 30 expertise and 0 chance at the lowest rank
And escalation, the dedicated mode for them, took that % chance and multiplied it by the tier selected then added an additional flat 1% at the end

refactor is split between yellow and blue cores, the blue ones you want to drop with skill damage so you can recal to yellow core

With new gearsets and weapons they are easier such as using regulus + Achilles pulse + negotiators. You can mark an enemy with negotiators and one tap a boss

Probably they started cautiously but I'm sure they will be looking at things and making changes like any loot game.

It’ll get improved. Folks are acting like day one should be dousing people in top gear and if it did that you’d be done in a week, strong AF and then complaining about being able to easily steamroll. The point is to get stronger over time, making escalations more manageable.

They may well change drop rates more, and or add the daily mission rotations for gear. Give em time lads.
