I think the way the armor works is the thing, some games use it as extra HP, other use as dmg reduction to healthbar, and some other use like actual physical plates that only protect that specific body part.

Armor is a defensive element. Or a defensive type. This inputs a stat into the game, called Armor damage. Armor plates aside, which I do kind of agree needs to be the same thing as armor damage, but what do I know. In terms of armor, it allows the developers to add something to the enemy that significantly alters its difficulty, without changing the enemy type. If you want to make a boss out of a shotgunner just give them a ton of armor. I think if you remove this, you would simplify the game immensely

One of the greatest things about division, and it's why I have loved it more than almost any MMO I've ever played. Is there is a wonderful complexity, to the amount of choices and opportunity, without turning it into just a massive bullet sponge. It's also one of the reasons why raids irritate me and I rarely do them

But you would want to create an enemy type that's specializes in destroying HP. An example of this is when they use explosives to destroy shields. Because shields are weak to explosive damage

Did negative damage on legendary capital hill, with the help of 2 randoms who didn't know how to work as team. But we managed to complete with the fact I killed 103 enemies alone. Yay for damage build. But ill say, im not doing that again with randoms.

For one. The in game allied AI is already terrible.

It's literally the worst mechanic in Division 2.

For two, if I wanted to play a squad control shooter, i'd play something else.

For 3, it doesn't fit the lore at all, there's zero reason for anyone to "run around gunning with a division agent" If it's made clear in the lore for next season, then it feels forced.
